US Ring tone on inbound calls to VM landline
Hi, anyone else noticed this. When anyone dials my VM landline they get a US style ringtone. It never used to be that, it used to be the UK ringtone?

Could it be to do with the digital voice service?

I've just been told my (DV) phone now rings in a US style for callers.

I can see a new patriotic campaign here:- 'Save the Great British Ringtone'.
One for Nigel Farage. ;) |

Mine seems OK now unless it is intermittant.

Re: US Ring tone on inbound calls to VM landline
The weird(er) thing is that ours went back to a UK ringtone last week. But now it’s a US tone again.
I wonder why they can’t fix it as I’ve seen a few complaints about it on VM’s own site with people saying they can’t get it resolved and some replies from Virgin that show its teams clearly have no idea how to resolve it. |

Has the actual ring on the phone for incoming calls changed for anybody?

Is it "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeereing.......... ...beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeering" or do you hear "bring-bring....bring-bring" inside also? |
Re: US Ring tone on inbound calls to VM landline
The actual phone ringing follows the same pattern, i.e. "ring-ring....ring-ring"
|
