Did you mean British?

Re: Chocolate Lovers Thread

Well it won't be American but it could be difficult to pick from the others. There are likely good and bad chocolatiers in many of those options. I'd guess it would also depend on what you are looking for; bar of chocolate for the family, after dinner chocs, extravagant chocs for that special occasion.
I like plain chocolate with a high cocoa content and less bothered about fancy flavours and the like. Fruit flavours should be subtle and natural not like the cheap, over sweetened Christmas boxes churned out by the likes of Cadburys. (And never, ever any coconut.)

American chocolate. Hersey <<shudder>>

My go to brand is Lindt and I adore their Lindor Truffles.

I don't like american chocolate and UK Cadburys has also changed a lot in recent years.

I was addicted to the Cadbury's Chooclate Puds over Christmas though.

Mmmmm, Godiva….

In the mid-80s, I used to commute from Berkshire to Brussels most weeks, and our office was off the Avenue Louise, not far from the Godiva outlet shop - I used to bring my partner* a 500g box of the chocs every Friday.

*Reader, I married her…

I'm not a great chocolate eater but did like the chocolate at Jean Philippe in the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Last time we were there the name had changed but didn't get chance to call in so not sure if the recipe is the same or not.

I found an awesome Chooclate in Tesco's the other day with small pieces of coffee bean in it. Tasted great.

I feel for you, the number of expense claims that you must have filled up.... On the positive side, we get £50 max allowance for gifts each time... could be used for chockies...

Ohhh, I miss chocolate - cakes and biscuits, usually. But it (and possibly booze and possibly caffeine) give me severe heartburn.

Ripple chilled in the fridge, or After Eights with a big glass of whole milk.

I was trying out some single region cocoa dark chocolates to pick a favourite. Very hard, I think I need to keep sampling.
