YouFibre

They have just about finished installing Optical Fibre cable in my area. The prices for broadband look very attractive, 1gb is being advertised @ £30 per month. Has anyone any experience using YouFibre?

Advertising a service and then delivering it can sometimes be some distance apart.

YouFibre does appear to provide good performace and excelent value!!!

I have registered my interest in the products and they will contact me once they have fully completed the testing of the fibre in my area.

Let me know how you get on

Never heard of that provider. But wow, that's hella cheap!

YouFibre have launched an 8 Gbps service for £99 a month and 2 Gbps service for £49 a month

Re: YouFibre

The 900 MBPS service is £27.99.

So far the service and fibre performance is first class

Re: YouFibre

Pity the site is so unhelpful, I could not find any prices, it just takes me to a page wanting name/email/phone.

I'm not doing all of that just to see prices.

I'm guessing they probably arent using openreach anyway, so not available to me (but it doesnt say its not available).

The prices are on the home page, you just have to scroll down a bit

Re: YouFibre

LOL, how daft is that.
I loaded the page and it presents a checker, so I just filled that in.
At those speeds its clearly not available here, but the checker doesnt tell me that.
(And once you are on that register page, you cant get off it, so I never went back to the home page)

Not available in my area yet, but when it is here, I wouldn't hesitate to sign up.

IIRC that price is for the first 2 years.

Yeah their new site is pretty user unfriendly. But you can check on the Netomnia website (Netomnia are their infrastructure partner) and see availability without signing up to anything.

https://www.netomnia.com/rollout/ (scroll down to the postcode checker, though you can also just look at the map)

Their prices arent limited to new customers only, so you can re-contract for another 2 years at whatever the price is when your contract expires. Of course they could change that policy at any point in the future.

Re: YouFibre

Interesting, on that Netomania site, my exchange is displayed as a purple triangle, suggesting they are working on it, but when I check my postcode, it says "not in scope".

The contract is for 2 years but after that who knows what the price might be, however, during the tem of the contract Youfibre do guarantee NO in contract price rises. A 2 year resonably priced service with a fixed price contract price is unusual and good value.

Re: YouFibre

Have seen a rumour that YouFibre could merge with a TV company next month, no idea who or if it's true. But if they do, it could really hit Virgin Media areas where they're expanding to already a lot ditching VM for You as it is.

Does anyone have the YouFibre Sky Stream combo?

A YouFibre rep has told me that their routers don't work well with it, is this true?

I know that, I'll be going on it next month. Just pointing it out. I believe (don't quote) that it goes up to about £45 which is still good value.

YouFibre have said they're hoping to roll out IPV6 to go alongside CGNAT across the country by the end of the year

YouFibre have topped 50,000 customers in the UK, up from 22,000 at the beginning of the year

Its annoying you have to enter name/phone/email just to find that out, so I gave dummy info.

Yeah I hate that. However on the youfibre checker if you choose anything for the existing package pages, the button at the bottom of the "give us your details" page indicates if you can get something or not.

Show Packages = you're able to order a line
Continue = No luck

Or you can check https://bidb.uk/ out. It does a good job of highlighting rollouts and they must be using a Netomnia/YouFibre API because as soon as I'd submitted the order my postcode showed up as having a connection.
