Fuel shortages (again)
All the petrol garages round me (Tonbridge, Kent) are sold out of diesel and running out of petrol. What's going on?

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
That protest seems to be having a disproportionate effect on fuel supplies.
Anyone else seeing shortages? |
Re: Fuel shortages (again)
Went to Tesco Cleethorpes on Friday -no diesel, but got it from jet station 7p more per ltr.:(

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
No issues around here that I’m aware of, but I don’t think there was any bother at Grangemouth to disrupt deliveries.

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
We should have all kept our 3.0 litre V6 cars.
The more fuel we used, the cheaper it was . . now everyone has a 1.0 Micra or electric buggy, fuel prices have gone up to maintain profits. well it's as good a theory as any :D |

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
I am waiting on delivery of my new car. A Hyundai Ionic fully electric. It cannot come quick enough as my BMW 530D drinks fuel at a stupid rate. Crazy as it seems it was quicker to have the charger installed than the delivery of the car. :)

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
Glad I filled up last week.

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
E5 premium was out of stock for about a fortnight due to "priority deliveries" for diesel and E10.
I see a lot of posts asking where diesel is available. |
Re: Fuel shortages (again)
Seems to be a diesel issue, almost none around here, except the more expensive premium stuff. I had to get some of that as I was almost on the red line.

There are times when I think we are far too soft on pricks like them.

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
Panic at the pumps at Tesco near Cambridge this morning with huge queues, luckily I've got enough to last at least 2 weeks.

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
BP near me sells Ultimate Diesel for £1.91 a litre.
|
Re: Fuel shortages (again)
I have some long drives in next couple of weeks. OK at the moment for first couple but will need to refill after that.

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
I work an hgv job and I asked my employer to raise my salary, which they didn't, because of fuel prices. They claim that if they raise my salary, the logistics will be more expensive. And if the logistics are more expensive, the company will begin to lose customers due to competition.

I filled up fine yesterday.

Re: Fuel shortages (again)
On the 03/05/2020 I paid £1.26 a litre for a tank of diesel, today I paid £1.92 a litre. That's 66p a litre more.
This is now beyond a poxy joke. |
Re: Fuel shortages (again)
I'm trying to fill up everytime I get to half a tank as it is just too unpredictable at the pumps at the moment.

I try to fill up around 100 miles left in the tank, but held off as I hoped the prices would drop, but it was the same price a few weeks ago. |
Re: Fuel shortages (again)
