E Mail Problem
I can get into my Virgin media home page for my bills etc. But when i go to get into my Emails a blank page comes up and it says BAD REQUEST. why is this .?

Re: E Mail Problem
The email page has been a bit flaky recently. Sometimes it goes straight in, other times it asks for email and password then fails to open the page, saying it has "timed out".

It's always best to avoid using an ISP email and stick with someone like Gmail and Outlook to avoid problems as they get resolved quicker and make it easier to switch ISP without the hassle of moving email. |
Re: E Mail Problem
My main email is Gmail... Years ago it used to be Yahoo but it just got so full of spam email it was ridiculous.

Re: E Mail Problem
Mine is an NTL address, I have never had a problem before. my Virgin webpage is fine. Someone said it might be to do with cookies or cache .

Same here, although I periodically check the webmail spam folder as it's a little bit too enthusiastic sometimes. |
Re: E Mail Problem
I cleared out my cookies and cache Etc and I have my mail back again, Thank the Lord,

Re: E Mail Problem
I would still recommend using a proper client as the mail is then stored on your machine locally and not subject to deletion by the ISP if you leave.

Unless you have downloaded a copy of the mail then it is lost. The advantage of a client is that it can be set to automatically collect all mail from your accounts at regular intervals and put it in their own in-boxes on your PC or whatever you're using. My machine also announces the arrival of new mail through the sound as well as a small pop-up in the RH lower corner of the screen. Depending on the settings copies of that mail can also be collected separately by other machines. Unread mail is indicated by an envelope icon on the task bar. When you send mail from the client then a copy is automatically put in the appropriate sent mailbox also on your machine. |
Re: E Mail Problem
I have a NTL email address but its rarely used so i don't know if its problematic, its only randomly logged onto now and then.
