However, it does seem unlikely to be related to the Red Bee Media incident responsible for the original, multi-platform failure. |
Re: Various channels went off air tonight on multiple platforms
Seeing as it's not possible to get info from VM via phone or their website, it would be useful for info to be posted outside of VM systems, eg here.

Re: Various channels went off air tonight on multiple platforms
A fire suppressant issue at Langley perhaps? The issue probably needs a new thread but the TV Outage thread has been closed for some reason.

Re: Various channels went off air tonight on multiple platforms
Our TV is down in Lincoln, just like the rest.
So do I presume that VM only got 1 major distribution center, where all the signals come in? as VM are classing it as National outage. |
Re: Various channels went off air tonight on multiple platforms
My TV service is up and running again. Guess someone switched it off and waited 20 seconds before switching it on again. Always works a treat. :D

Issue with TV services (Updated at 13:45) We’re working hard to fix the issue impacting our TV services. We have now restored several channels with customers able to watch BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, ITV+1 and Channel 4. TV360 customers are also able to access apps on their box. We’re working to restore all channels as quickly as possible and continue to work towards having this resolved this afternoon. |

I guess some of the issues with HD channels are possibly because encryption has been turned on again? The boxes don't seem to recognise that they should be authorised to view the service. |

Another update from VM (https://www.virginmedia.com/help/outage)
(Updated at 15:30) Engineers are on site working to restore TV services after a major power outage. We are currently attempting to restore more channels. As we do this, it may mean customers temporarily lose access to previously restored channels. We recognise this is frustrating for customers and apologise again for the inconvenience caused. We are doing everything we can to get services back as quickly as possible. |
Re: Various channels went off air tonight on multiple platforms

It has the HD channel swap if you package has a particular channel in HD it is swapped to the higher number (Except for Channel4 outside London) but a lot cleaner interface and less menus to have to navigate. My household much prefer 360 |
