I think they're both fake trailers, that's why.

my bad, I didn't realise. I was watching some andavision vids and they came up as new and recommended. I didn't even click they were take, there are very well done. I have removed them anyway and will only post the official ones.

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Yeah I had already come across one of them. They did look like they had put a lot of effort in but I think it was the voice over that messed it up for me. I think it was one of those text-to-voice ones.

Looking excellent and it's good to see Sharon again.

yeah, I am liking the fact that they are brining back all the MCU characters like they did with Endgame, it keeps the universe alive and real and massively contributes to my realism factor.

Interesting, thats the first I've seen of Carter in any promos. :)

The person dressed as Captain America running onto the football pitch was white, which would hopefully indicate it is Bucky.

In the comics both Bucky and the Falcon have taken on the mantle of Captain America

The football pitch and the cheerleaders were all made up with a Captain America theme. It could just as well be someone in fancy dress. Though I love the way fans analyse trailers, read too much into them and develop pet theories that are invariably proven wrong within seconds of the show’s premiere. :D

They premiered a “making of” for Wandavision on Friday instead which is well worth watching, especially for the stuff about how they did the 1950s episode. There was actually a live studio audience.

It’s under a series called “Assembled” IIRC

to be fair the trailers give a way very little. They have done a good job of creating a lot of hype over very little.

It was good.

Too early to speculate where it’s going, but enjoyable.

Just downloaded the Snyder cut of Justice League, in for a late night!

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Yeah, I enjoyed it as well but I got no clue about where it may go. I suspect the ending will have something to do with the villain.

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

So far so good. Wife and daughter were ready to hate it because it wasn’t Wandavision and it had lots of explosions in the opening sequence. But the family drama element hooked them in. Looks like we have a new Friday night fixture.

Also, is anyone else loving the fact that we’re genuinely finding out what happened to so many Avengers characters after Endgame - just the same as if these new shows were the next feature film?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was Disney+'s most watched series premiere beating The Mandalorian and Wandavision

Are you kidding? It pushed the story along fantastically, reintroduced Sharon Carter and set up Zimo as a recurring, and very interesting MCU character of uncertain alignment.

The only thing missing was Sam’s wings, but I think we can let them off once in a while.

cimt 03-04-2021 12:40

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Something just didn't seem right about it. It just felt proper disjointed for me for some reason. Like, the shipping container section seemed like the set designers didn't talk to each other. Once the containers blew up, where was the lab?

That section annoyed me haha.

I'm guessing Sharon is the Power Broker though. I'm guessing she's gone full on bad guy.

Exactly, proper story line rather than relying on special effects.

What a brilliant episode, what an ending. I can’t believe the naysayers on this series, same short sighted noobs that whinged about the Wandavision opening episodes.

This is a brilliant series so far, I’m enjoying it more than Wandavision.

The Loki series, based on the track record so far, will be brilliant. I am in no doubt.

I may have been a naysayer on the opening eps of Wandavision but am thoroughly enjoying The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, so not the same really nor am I a noob to the MTVU nor MCU. I'm not shortsighted either according to the opticians.:D

Haven't touched it yet. I am one of the ming mongs who had a problem with Wandavision and although this has a completely different look and feel to it and I decided I am going to wait for it to finish and watch them all in one go as if it were a movie.

Welcome US Agent to the MCU. Really enjoyed this series, Disney really upping the streaming sub services bar and it is only good for us the viewer.

I believe we were meant to meet the countess in Black Widow movie before this series but pandemic and all that. Lol

Great series and loved titles at the end.

Just finished binging it. I don't normally watch this type of TV, but after the first episode I had to carry on until the end. Pretty good.

Pierre 24-04-2021 13:45

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

I thought it was great, faithful to the comics. I had my doubts about Falcon taking on the title but they navigated his lack of super soldiery with the abilities his wings and suit give him. I wouldn’t bet against Bucky also taking on the mantle in future series as he also did in the comics.

Just watched the final episode, enjoyed the whole excellent series.

.. and a naughty Agent Carter (You all saw the post credit scene, right ?).

I am going to start watching it tonight. After Wandervision i made the decision that i wanted to give it a couple of eps before i started it. I would have started it before now but i have spent the last 2 weeks ploughing through all the Oscar films. This is next on my list to watch.

Yup, I'm more interested in where they take Sharon, compared to everyone else.

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

I finally caught up with it. It was good for what it was and told the story that needed to be told. The thing which hadn't occurred to me until now is that with Wandavision, Falcon and presumably Loki, they aren't your traditional tv series (like e.g. Agents of Shield) where it is about the characters, their lives and adventures and letting them go off and see what they get up to. These are mini series which are telling a specific story at a particular moment in time in the universe and there is nothing to stop subsequent seasons from happening in the future between MCU Phases when we can have a time jump, catch up with those characters and see them deal with a new issue or challenge. It doesn't have to be a direct continuation of the previous season's storyline and characters like we see in traditional tv series.
