Press the release button on the back of the support arm and slide the screen to the required height?

The model in your picture is completely different, ie GB2730QSU. That one has a variant where the stand is fixed, G2730QSU. If your monitor has a large hole in the stand for running cables through(like in your picture), then it's the variable height one. Links included to Ilyama product website, complete with online manuals. |

So now we are at the stage where someone has bought one thing thinking it was another. Ah well...

Needs to be clarification on the actual model number and whether there's a large hole in the stand to run cables through. Comparing X2783HSU-B1, X2783HSU-B3, and XB2783HSU-B3. Ergonomics section says height adjustable for XB version. Looking at the manuals for the height adjustable ones, doesn't give much detail. Sounds like they need a bit of force(ie not simply sliding). No button mentioned. Might need placing face down on soft material(towel?) to protect the screen and then push or pull as required. |

If the screen can be physically rotated to portrait position, then that suggests it is height adjustable. |

Ken can you double check the part number and post the link from the website you bought it from? |
Re: PROLITE B2780HSU-B3 height adjustment
Just found a link about adjusting the height is Ilyama monitors, complete with video.
How do I adjust my iiyama monitor stand? This may be the issue. Quote:

Re: PROLITE B2780HSU-B3 height adjustment
Have you tried the stopper pin/button? Have you tried the suggestion of pushing the screen down and then pressing the button again?
I should imaging that the stopper pin/button is to prevent it moving around during handling. |

At least now you know that you have to release the "stopper" mechanism straight away.

Re: PROLITE B2780HSU-B3 height adjustment
Take extra care assembling it's replacement because if you run into the same issue it means you're doing something wrong or not putting enough force on the moving parts.
