Live Bundesliga returns on Saturday

Live Bundesliga resumes this weekend and BT Sport has all games live. Five live games at 2.30pm with the goals show also being shown. BT Sport will also show the 5.30pm game in UHD (where available).

Hopefully in safety though I have huge doubts. Have missed football hugely. Surprised though that rangers haven't called for an investigation about this as they seem to be anti everything at present ;)

l would imagine all Bundesliga players will have been tested before the matches and will be tested afterwards as well Henke.

Hope I'm wrong Den but can't see any league being completed by the end of summer

Several scenarios as to finshing the season.

First is to finish the season several months later thus next season will start at a later date.

Secomd all matches will get played and the football sesson will start at the normal time of the year.

Third declare the league null and void , that again won't go down well.

And fourth decide the Bundesliga league positions and other countries league positions on a fair and clear basis although as we have seen in England that is akin to opening a pandora's box given the arguments and bickering going on these past few weeks with some clubs unwilling to compromise at all.

There were rumours that BT Sport were going to put some of the Bundesliga matches on Youtube for free but l have seen nothing to substantiate that claim so far.

Considering they got over 30% of clubs voting with them, would that make those clubs anti-everything too? :)

Premier Sports has live NASCAR starting again this weekend.
Wonder if the pause credit will still go on for that this month

It would be nice if Virgin updated the EPG to reflect the live matches - sky have already done it.

As usual Virgin lag behind - they don't do customer service very well

That's the beauty of this discount, they get to decide when it ends. Anything to stop you cancelling your sports sub. Cancel till you think it's worth it.

A couple of matches are now on the EPG both live on Saturday.

Two matches are on BT Sport 1HD and one match of the two is on BT Sport Ultimate

I am well aware of that, however Sky shows matches on BT Sports 1, 2 and 3 Saturday at 2.30 also 2 games on Sunday and 1 on Monday

So why can't Virgin get up to date?

One would imagine the information is released by BT to sky and virgin at the same time.

So my point is why has virgin only updated Saturday for BT Sports 1 and not the other channels and Sunday & Monday.

Mind you I'm not really surprised, just frustrated, it happens on a frequent basis.

Virgin have now got all the games on BT Sports1 in the EPG - at last!

However the Saturday 2.30pm games on 2 & 3 are still not there.

Why not?

Today's the day!

Never have time to watch Foriegn League Football under normal circumstances - however I'm really looking forward to watching Live Sport.

Will be settling down in front of the TV at 2.20 with a beer in hand in anticipation.

A small light at the end of the tunnel.

Hopefully Premier League football will follow next month as expected - as for Rose who obviously doesn't want to re-start, keep your negative opinions to yourself, you are past it and no-one will miss you if you never play again!

I hope the Premier League does not restart, league two have taken the sensible way to abandon the season hope to see the Premier league and others flow suite.
This is about the health of the players and no guarantees can be given to them,so essentially they will have to sign a waiver, would you?

Why does he need to keep his opinions to himself? Surely footballers are the ones who should be expressing how they feel about a return to playing.

Think several players in the English top flight have already aired their reluctance to return. Think there's pretty much no chance it will restart. Liverpool like Celtic more than worthy champions :)

20 teams, each have 25 or so players - to my knowledge 3 have expressed doubts, with Rose being the most vociferous.

if he chooses not to play it is his right, not sure many would miss him - he may as well retire because I couldn't foresee clubs rushing to sign him with that attitude and his age.

---------- Post added at 17:22 ---------- Previous post was at 17:18 ----------

Just watched one of the games live - not that impressed at the standard, it was the Düsseldorf v Paderhorn game so 16th v 18th.

I would be surprised if a lower to middle championship side couldn't beat either of them.

I wouldn't bother watching it apart from the fact nothing else is on!

Hopefully the standard will improve next week!

Can't argue about Liverpool as they are 25 points ahead, albeit Man City have a game in hand, if City win its still 22 points which is a massive lead, but celtic hold a 13 point lead with Rangers having a game in hand, so potentially it could be 10 points ahead for celtic, and with Rangers and celtic having still to meet twice in the league I don't think it was fair to call this league as the potential is there for celtic to be caught, considering there are still 8 games to play.

Hugh 16-05-2020 18:24

Re: Live Bundesliga returns on Saturday

Really?

Since the 2014/15 season, the results for the Old Firm matches are :-

Celtic won 9
Rangers won 2
draws 6

Celtic won nearly every Scottish Premier game in 2020, with 1 draw and no losses, while Rangers had 3 losses and 2 draws - not sure Rangers current form would support your assertion.

Rangers were not in the top league in that season or the season after, and rebuilding after being demoted to the bottom tier in 2012, the Scottish premier league without one of the big two would make it easy for either of them to win titles etc as the rest of the teams cannot compete, Scottish football is really poor.

OK, take out one draw, and one win from Celtic - still

8
2
5

Doesn’t address Rangers form vs Celtic’s form in 2020...

I think he was merely pointing out that Liverpool was 99.9% probability whilst although Celtic were odds-on favourites it was nowhere near as certain.

Also agree with the other assertions.

Ninth not actually won though, season not completed, you cannot win a competition if it isn't completed, awarded, yes, won, no.

I must admit, when I was watching the German games, it was pretty underwhelming, seemed more like a training exercise than actual matches that would count for something, with no fans in the stadiums it was pretty poor imo.

On the fact that the SPFL would have lost their decision to finish the season as they have just done, if the vote submitted by Dundee football club, which was to vote against the SPFL's resolution to end the season, had stood as it should have , as they voted No to the SPFL's resolution, only for their vote to somehow magically be "lost" in the SPFL's "trash" folder :erm:, and in the meantime Dundee were got at by someone from the SPFL to change their vote to Yes, with the promise of reconstruction in the top tier which would have seen Dundee promoted, but hey, guess what, that reconstruction isn't happening, so poor old Dundee who would have been promoted had the league been reconstructed are left with egg on their face and resigned to the league below.
Also Hearts have a case, they were only one point behind the team ahead of them at the bottom, but with 8 games to go surely they had a real chance of staying up and avoiding relegation!
So I would say that Hearts will go to court based on the fact that the vote was rigged.

They also suggested that the cost of litigation will be significantly lower than the cost of relegation.
