I nearly got caught out as my House Calendar says it is on Monday 4th!

That is because they were printed l think before they changed the Bank Holiday date SnoopZ.

As I've been furloughed until July, I get Easter and the 2 bank holidays in May back, roughtly 32 hours, plus the 44 hours for my summer holiday which I'll have to cancel.

So 76 hours back.

Your work isn't paying your full monthly wages are they? A few people at my work who have been furloughed get their normal monthly wages, a bank holiday is a bank holiday though so they would normally get paid for that anyway.

Yeah, they only moved it June last year, when many calendars and stuff had already been printed. :cool:

In the end, it was all for nothing really, due to CV19. :(

I barely know what day of the week it is at the moment. Bank holidays will just wash right over me regardless of when they happen.

It is to celebrate 75 years since VE day. AFAIK it's just this year.

It's the Labour/International workers day holiday tomorrow isn't it ? I shall be taking a holiday as is traditional. If I'm wrong I'll take Friday off as well so you can't say fairer than that ;)

Well I'm furloughed, so I'm off both Monday & Friday.


I was told by work that as I'm furloughed, I will get the hours back for Easter and both Bank Holidays in May, About 32 hours.

I had it booked off originally.
I cancelled that to save for later in the year.

Same for some of my Easter holidays I had booked.
I'm going to have lots of holiday to take later in 2020. :)

We are expecting a local DJ to tour our area with his "Disco on a Push Bike" road show. The sun is due to be shinning, everyone is hanging bunting and flags along their front gardens and, although we will all be social distancing, it should be a community event that we can all enjoy even if it is only going to last half an hour.
