Premier Sports 2 HD (Sky, Virgin Media) As per tvchannellist from the above link.So why only sd on sky?,Will it be hd on virgin?.If it's anything like the freesport sd picture we recently got it will be pants quality.why did virgin not get the hd variant for freesports?.Why are companies even persisting with sd variants?.I know, a lot of why's!.

I agree. I think Virgin's platform would be freed up nicely to enable new UHD channels to launch if it scrapped all HD variants where there were no programming differences between the two, and all +1 channels.

However, I am sure there would be the inevitable outcry, and after the UKTV upset, I dare say Virgin won't want that.

There is no HD variant of Freesport - it is SD only.

Premier Sports 2 will be HD it launches tomorrow. Freesports HD apparently is on the way like tvchannelslist says there is no confirmed date yet.

After a quick look around, I'm now not sure that PS 2 will be in HD. I'm pretty certain that the tvchannelslist link said 'Premier Sports 2 HD' the other day. But now the HD part isn't there. That would be typical. We'll just have to wait and see.

You are right.the hd part has dissapeared suddenly so sd quality for us.

Thought I had seen a post that ps2 was only in SD on sky - so unlikely to be HD on virgin for at least a while.

Ah. Maybe tvchannelslist initially got it wrong and there was never any Premier Sports 2 HD in the first place. Maybe it doesn't exist just like Freesports HD currently doesn't seem to exist.

We'll find out tomorrow for sure.

Yes - We seen it confirmed on Premier Sports Twitter page. It will launch by Wednesday rumours as set to launch tomorrow.

Premier Sports 2 has today started to test on Virgin Media on an SD Channel stream.

We think that web site take all the Virgin Media information from Media Boy Blog. We found if we post "Media Boy UHD is coming on July 32nd" it will appear the few days later on that web site.

Watching Celtic now on Premier Sports 2 (thank you VM for sorting this in time to watch).

The picture quality for a SD channel isnt bad at all imo. Miles better than Freesports which quite frankly is appalling. Which asks the question why is the picture quality SO poor on Freesports ? (because it's free??)

I'm working away. It looks like Premier Sports 2 showing up on Virgin TV app, the wife and son are saying it's showing on their boxes in the house.

I can get PS1 on the PC when i log in but can't get or see PS2, anybody else seen it online and any fixes. I need it for the football tonight.

My son rebooted my main box last night just to see if that helped.
