How will you vote in the EU referendum?

As we get nearer, thought I'd do a poll to see the current opinions of how we are going to vote.

Out.

The EU needs fundamental change, but its architects won't allow that.

Still undecided - no option to vote here.

the in campaign have demonstrated what they can't do and that is run the UK without orders from big brother [EU]this says a lot about their competency . if they need a crutch to lean on then their not the right people for the job.i think Cameron is torn between two masters the USA and the EU he doesn't quite know which one to sell us out to ,but given the chance he will sell us out .

I've voted out but there should really have an undecided option as they will be the voters who decide the outcome imo

Re: How will you vote in the EU referendum?

The results will be skewed.. Most out voters are publicly campaigning and likely to answer where as stay voters have the status quo and as few have bothered participating on the forum EU referendum thread so will probably ignore the vote on the forum.

As for my vote that's personal and I don't do forum polls (public or not)

you have until the 23 June to make a decision no one is rushing you, at the end of the run up you either don't vote or take a y-n option .

Re: How will you vote in the EU referendum?

We are, I hope, so leaving!

I'm afraid I've lost all respect for Obama; he's well out of order sticking his nose into this. We do not "lead" the EU anywhere. They are leading us...to disaster! They're the reason we can't get a free trade deal with the US - it's got nothing to do with him or the States. The EU is going to collapse, hopefully sooner rather than later, and I'd rather we were out before that happens, else they'll drag us down with 'em.

Assuming it isn't already too late, of course.

And assuming Cameron actually takes any notice of a Leave result. I'm still not sure he will, even though it would doubtless be political hara-kiri if he ignored the expressed wishes of we the electorate.

Rather than "what better" have you thought about "not worse"? You may then actually think about your future.

The choice is still entirely yours though.

I know people in their 70s+ are going to vote on how it will effect not them, but their children & Grand children.

As a 60yr old I will be voting out to leave a better future (IMHO) for the youth of today.

RizzyKing 25-04-2016 00:50

Re: How will you vote in the EU referendum?

I'm voting out and my main reason for doing it is I think my kids will have a better future in a UK that has complete control of it's affairs and because the ultimate goal of the EU of a federal Europe is complete disaster. As for Obama he can sod off back to the USA and stay there, since he became president there has been a growing anti UK sentiment amongst some in the US and it's starting to show as far down as movies and TV shows it like him is petty and pathetic. If real and proper reform of the EU was possible I might vote to stay in but that's just not an option the leader's of the EU are completely tunneled visioned and are risking a war to achieve their preferred goal. Don't just do the UK a favour on the 23rd of June do the whole of Europe one and vote to leave.

I'm seeing similar figures in other places across the net too, I don't know of the outcome though, except that the older generation tends to vote and be rather more cynical than the younger idealistic people - who don't tend to bother. Then again this has a certain novelty value unlike a GE so who knows.

It's comfortable lead for remain at the moment according to Mori (49% remain to 39% leave -and this was before Obama). http://ukpollingreport.co.uk/blog/archives/9673 . Internet polls/forums aren't representative of the population (thankfully !) . The big unknown will be turnout, and how that will affect the result.

As an aside why on earth do we vote on a Thursday and not weekends like other countries ? And why can't we vote online on this day and age ? (there'll be some who argue security, but postal voting is hardly secure. In fact voting in a booth isn't secure, you just need to turn up and say a name, no id required). The Govt. don't exactly encourage the young to vote either, probably because they don't vote for them. 800k have disappeared off the electoral register http://www.theguardian.com/politics/...nges-to-system, However as they are more likely to vote remain, the Govt. could regret that.

Very much in. I have seen nothing to state that we are better off leaving in a 21st century global society

Pierre 26-04-2016 18:57

Re: How will you vote in the EU referendum?

There are compelling arguments to go either way.

Personally I don't think the time is right. Our economy, the European economy and the Global economy are too fragile at the moment.

I don't think it's worth the pain. If the world was in a different place then maybe I'd think differently.

So I'm voting remain.......just.

I'm out to save the world hopefully everyone will be in a better place if the whole EU collapsed then we could perhaps negotiate a reformed trade agreement with all countries without the need to seek approval from Germany and France first.
