Robot Wars returns

Re: Robot Wars returns
That brings back a few memory's.

Re: Robot Wars returns
Love the way the BBC press office doesn't even know when the original series was on. "First aired over a decade ago" they say ... try 1998, nearer 2 decades ago. It was actually canned a little over a decade ago, when Channel 5 cancelled it. Press release was probably written by someone who was in nappies at the time though.
On a lighter note, I can't wait for this and my kids will be delighted too. We saw a couple of eps on Challenge the other week and they absolutely loved it. |
Re: Robot Wars returns
Awesome, hope its as good and cheesy as before.

Re: Robot Wars returns
The original is on H2 at 11pm weekdays at the moment.

Re: Robot Wars returns
Excellent news - still enjoy watching the originals on Challenge :) :)

Re: Robot Wars returns
AWesome and going to be filmed in Glasgow. Hope that means I can go watch it.

Re: Robot Wars returns
Thoroughly enjoyed the original series and the continual innovation in the robot weapons especially the flippers and the awesome Hypnodisk.
Anybody know if Craig Charles will compare the show? Pity Phillipa Forester has gone all mumsy. Maybe they can find a new slightly built leather\PVC clad....:naughty: |
Re: Robot Wars returns
Well Craig Charles would love to come back!

Re: Robot Wars returns
I went to see Robot Wars live European Championships in Norwich in 2013 (2 day event). I was surprised just how big and hefty some of those robots were and to see them get tossed into the air about 10ft high like it was nothing shows that they really do have a lot of power in them. Was good to watch.
Looking forward to seeing the new series. |

What is it with the BBC and Irish presenters. When you think of all the regions in the UK the Irish seem over represented to me. Where are the Cornish, Cumbrian or East Anglian presenters..... |
Re: Robot Wars returns
Or Scottish presenters, seen as it will be filmed in Glasgow!

Re: Robot Wars returns
I have tickets to the afternoon recording on the 11 March :-)

Re: Robot Wars returns
Where did you get them?

Re: Robot Wars returns
Yep, found it eventually. I kept getting the live arena tour coming up top of the results. Your Friday afternoon session is showing full now as well.
I'm a bit gutted, I looked for where to get tickets the day it was announced they were making another series and didn't find anything. Missus and the kids would have loved to have gone, especially as it's local. |
Re: Robot Wars returns
Lost in TV is a great site, usually audience tickets for most TV shows will be on there.
I had the link sent to me by them last week. |
Re: Robot Wars returns
Mmm, think I might sign up with them. There's a lot more stuff made in Glasgow these days.
