World has problems, world has always had problems and will continue to have problems. Many generations have had it far harder than any of us have had.

Yes indeed it was pretty grim for many having to go through two World Wars and the austerity that followed it for quite a few years afterwards.

There are some stresses and inequalities in the modern world wherever one lives and even though we have inequalities in this country its still a fine country to live in.

Climate change is the biggest threat to them. They'll ask why we didn't do much more sooner.

Politicians wanted to be seen opening new schools and hospitals. No votes in doing something that will benefit us in 20 years :(

The greatest problem we are leaving our children, by far, is global warming, although other environmental damage, particularly to the oceans could also lead to disaster.

Apart from its complex physical effects, which will be catastrophic for many, the human and political consequences could be overwhelming. These will making our current battle with the fascists who have taken over Islam look like a minor spat.

Yes, tough times have been had historically, but a consequence of the good times the minority have had in the developed world, at the expense of the rest of the world, is a possible end to civilisation as we know it.

The resource wars for oil will also look tame compared to the inevitable water and food wars if we continue on our current course.

Too many people. Not enough planet. Root of most of the problems they'll face.

No, no, no!!!! The answer to everything is more people, larger GDP, more people, larger GDP, ad infinitum and we'll all live happy, prosperous lives...

We need to address the reality that uncontrolled population growth is only going to cause us even more problems than we already have.

In that case, given that we in the developed world use far more resources per capita than the developing world we should be the first to cut our birth rates.

Birth rates in the 3rd world and developing world are falling in response to falls in child mortality brought on by improving sanitation and medicine. That is where our aid resources should be targeted apart from education and self-help schemes.
