YouTube app?
For about 1-2 months I keep getting a message coming up that there are problems before it loads. Until a week or so ago it still worked fine despite this.
Not it doesn't even load! I just get a yellow like cross under the youtube logo and it never fully loads. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you know if it will be corrected? How do I resolve this? :) I use the app a lot... I love it...and it's one of the main reason I opted for TiVo over Sky. If this app wasn't available anymore I'd seriously consider a different option. |

Re: YouTube app?
It's something to do with Google changing the Youtube servers.

Re: YouTube app?
Funny that Virgin have kept quiet on this subject,i.e haven`t seen anything on the website or emailed customers about it. I doubt there`s any discount coming our way either

Before I left virgin I had the same message on my YouTube app but it always worked fine.

Re: YouTube app?
I think Virgin have been reasonable in alerting us to the YouTube problem, but I don't know why they don't make more use of the messaging section on the TiVo.

Re: YouTube app?
I've had the 'T with a x through it' symbol for well over a week now. I use the Tivo version because Tivo audio goes through my sound system. Surely this should be fixed by now?

It's the same on mine. YouTube used to work well but hardly ever does now. I have to fire up the Roku to watch YouTube now. And what I've noticed is how much quicker loading it is on there.

Re: YouTube app?
Used to play lots of music videos and concerts through the you tube app. Can't remember last time it worked :(
|
Re: YouTube app?
Hopefully with this rather time taking update/fix it will be a better running software that will make the app launch and navigation much more quicker !

Re: YouTube app?
YouTube app has been updated.

Re: YouTube app?
Not tried it today...but it wasn't working yesterday 13th July.

Re: YouTube app?

Buffering quite badly again last night, unwatchable
|
Re: YouTube app?
Especially annoying as the YouTube apps on my TV and BluRay player have been removed so the TiVo app is the only option for me for watching on the big screen.
|
Re: YouTube app?
Somebody mentioned on the Virgin Community forum that the YouTube App might be fixed on the 7th August 2015. Heres hopeing

Re: YouTube app?
Has anyone tried the YouTube app today? Is it still stuttering?
|
Re: YouTube app?
Just checked. Still unusable.

Re: YouTube app?
I checked it tonight and it's a lot better. Still a teensy bit of stutter every now and then but nowhere near as bad as it was.
|
Re: YouTube app?
Used it a couple nights ago and it was doing a lot of hanging and buffering, so gave up and used it through my Fire Stick. I thought it might be because we were trying to watch something almost an hour long, but from reading these posts looks like that's not the case :(

Re: YouTube app?
I get a lot of stuttering also. Really ANNOYING when trying to listen to music.
|
Re: YouTube app?
Perfectly fine on mine now but it has not always been like that.
|
Re: YouTube app?
Strange...mine still stutters. Am I the only one experiencing this then?
