He struggled with Paxman but did ok on the audience. No major gaffs.

I think we might here about how Kay Burley is asking follow up questions for Miliband and didn't for Cameron.

Thing is, in regards to audience questions, Milliband has no track record to defend and so gets an easier ride.

Hopefully Paxman will give him a hard time.

Yeah that's why Cameron didn't want a full debate. Always more difficult for the incumbent.

Weak from Miliband but started to get better when Paxman just focused on his personality.

Not watching. can't stand the sound of his voice.
and all the lies.
and the way he's so patronising.
and the way he thinks he's God.
the serious faces he pulls.
his big slaphead.
his fat chubby face.

is it any good?

Mistake from Paxman, he didn't need to get personal.

I think so. Especially going after the brother issue when it was already brought up. However it was a mistake too because Miliband did well rebutting them when he was struggling with questions on his policy weaknesses. Miliband looked a lot tougher than people are used too as a result and the 'who cares' when Paxman said he 'looked like a geek' was good.

... and therein lies the problem. The currency of our politicians has been greatly devalued over the years to the point many people feel it's worthless. I don't see an easy way to restore its credibility either.

Re: Sky/C4 Debate with Cameron and Miliband. Anyone watching?

I watched this with great interest. I put Miliband just ahead. As l felt that Paxman didn't get the answer that l was totally shocked by.

Foodbanks, when Cameron and his puppet Clegg came into power - there was just 14 Food banks, now there is over 900. Cameron could not answer that.

I felt that Paxman gave Cameron an easy ride, while he gave Miliband a terrible ride. And at least the audience clapped Miliband several times.

Cameron was trying his hardest to make it a 'political broadcast' and was cut down by Paxman.

I think the main question that should have been - why don't you scarp the Bedroom Tax, which l feel will bring down Cameron - like Thatcher with the Poll Tax

Yes, Miliband is un tested as a Leader, but l felt that he wanted to look after the people.

Whereas, Cameron just wants to continue his cutbacks.

I also felt that Cameron was a bit humiliated by the Police Officer, who asked about cutbacks, which l think rocked him a bit, and when Kate Burley asked him if the response was what he wanted, he replied 'no comment.

It will be a tough run for both, and it will not be a marjority

At the end of the day, we need a government that will end the suffering of thousands of people.

To end foodbanks, its true what Paxman said last night to Cameron - we are a rich country, and there is no need for foodbanks

The UK, has riches and it has the poor. Simple fact is that because of budget cuts, this will increase. We need a government that will help everyone, those with a penny in the pockets, or those with millions in the bank.

I look at it this way, wether you went to Eton or Christopher Wren School, like me - we still crap the same way. So whats the difference.

We need a NHS, that we are proud of, and not for private use.

Total waste of time I cringe when I hear cameron trying to justify why he wont do proper debates as i well remember his enthusiasm for them in 2010 shouldn't be shocked on him doing a 180 not exactly the first time. He knows damn well his record isn't as good as he and other lackeys try to make out and that's why he doesn't want meaningful debates the man has all the courage of a sponge.

An interview is not a debate even with Paxman doing the interviewing.

Anyone who thinks either of these guys went into this without being thoroughly prepared by they're hired PR help needs their heads testing. Miliband will have had as much, if not more, advice, scripting etc. than Cameron. He tries to come across as somehow different, more ordinary, more sincere, but the truth is he's just that same, out of touch and a hypocrite to boot.

Compared to Dave who is arrogant. thinks he's God. tells people to "look" when they're asking him something. a liar. deceitful. untrustworthy. an idiot.

At the end of the day we saw an extremely rich Prime Minister and an extremely rich leader of the opposition being interviewed by an extremely rich television interviewer.

What do any of them know or care about food banks which they will never use, an NHS that they will never set foot in and Council tax and TV Licence costs that they will reclaim on expenses?

Never in the field of urban conflict have so many idle rich owed so much to so many ordinary people.

Job of the rich is to misuse the poor thank god they have a country like the UK that makes it so easy and a public so used to it they no longer care.

That's exactly how it is.
I can see it. you can see it.

they can see it too. but choose to ignore it.

I said from the start that we would get that used to it. that the day would come when we no longer care about those we did before.

and there will be no turning back.

I had to laugh at the guy who owns Cobra Beers, who stated that he often uses staff on zero contracts.

What he forgets is that. if l worked for him, and he gave me say two days work and l needed five.

Is he going to tell my council that l cannot pay the rent or the bills this weeks.

Employers like him, make me want to be sick. Zero Contracts is like working for a job agency, you work when that employer wants you.

Its like all the big major companies love the Tories - they become Lords, and get big allowances that the poor would love to have - and l bet they don't use food Banks either

Well said RizzyKing. If you employ people ruddy well employ them properly. Don't use them as a babies bum wipe.

Do away with pro-rata as well.

Tonights debate x7 on ITV should be interesting if a tad noisy.

Be careful what you wish for. A part time job is better than none? Especially if that job could lead to a full time post. Ed "two kitchens" Miliband's idea will suffer the effect of unintended consequences as many will now be employed for barely 11 weeks and than sacked with no oportunity to show a prospective full time employer what they're capable of.

Anyway it seems that a majority on zero hours contracts like it that way.

Quote:

The most recent ONS analysis shows that 34% of people on such an arrangement want to work more hours
linky

So 66% are quite happy with the contract they're on.

Part time is ok... Question do the 66% get the same rights/entitlements as full time people.
