Re: Lollipop Released
Motorola has been promising Lollipop to its users with Motorolla Devices in the UK since December. Now they have stated they are still trialling it in India. Glad to see Virgin is on the ball tho.

Re: Lollipop Released
Hopefully not long until the Xperia sets get it, as have tried several launchers and none of them work for long.

Re: Lollipop Released
LG released the G3 Lollipop update back in December.
It will have been the S5 only as it just got released last week. My bro on Vodafone got it on Monday. |
Re: Lollipop Released for the Galaxy S5
I'm quite glad that neither Sony or Motorola have released Android 5x yet. It's still full of bugs... as I have one of each.
5.02 is current, 5.1 (next one) is supposed to be the one to get. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason why some manufacturers are holding out is for this one. Absolutely no point in racing for your update only to find it's worse than the old version Quote:

Re: Lollipop Released for the Galaxy S5
If you use TV Anywhere on your Android device and it updates to Lollipop, kiss it goodbye!!

I won't be updating. |
Re: Lollipop Released for the Galaxy S5
Hardly use the Anywhere app to be honest. So that wouldn't be a loss to me, but if apps like Arriva m-ticket and the Nat West apps stop working then I will be cross.

Yes they do, and they slap their own CSC on it as well. But it's still Samsung that makes the firmware and does the releasing.

For both the Note 3 and Note 4 on Virgin Mobile, it would be the SIM free / BTU variant (there was no Virgin specific variant of either device) - unfortunately Samsung do have a tendency to release these last. |

Re: Lollipop Released for the Galaxy S5
My understanding of updates is that Samsung send them to providers to test and do their messing about with (in some cases bugging up).
When that's done the provider sends it back to Samsung to OTA Updates. That what understood happens with O2. |
Re: Lollipop Released for the Galaxy S5
TV anywhere work on lollipop as it works on my tablet running 5.1, the update to have is 5.1.1 As the memory bug is still in 5.1 whichj is the main issue with lollipop
