Let's hope it is as good as 5 was. Wonder if it will feature any of the characters from 5 or an entirely new cast of characters.

Given how much money the GTA games make, surely it was inevitable that Rockstar would be working on a sequel?

And given the time between IV and V, we'll probably have a while to wait...

Yes, I reckon September 2017 onwards. This is why the GTA series is so popular though, Rockstar take the time to make sure all, if not then most, of the bugs and glitches are gone before release day.

Well I didn't really need to see an article that simply states that they have ideas for GTA 6.

It was inevitable they would make a 6, While at the same time it doesn't confirm they are making it now or working on it yet. Simply that there are 'ideas'

I predict 2017/2018 before its released.

In the meantime you can play GTA IV with some mods that make it look amazing.

Some of those ENB mods are amazing, especially the Better Roads and Better Cities Textures. The cars look amazing with the new lighting and shading.

Thanks for that - I think I'll try it now actually. I've owned GTA IV for a while but never played it and was just looking for some new stuff to play while bored waiting for GTA V

I would hazard a guess that the PC release launches alongside the online heist feature for the console versions and also have it included in the base game.

GTA6? doubt it will see the light of day for at least 2-3 years. There's plenty of story mode DLC mileage in GTA5 yet and R* don't do things overnight Assassins Creed style.

Yes, I think that 2017 to 2020 is the right sort of frame. Like I say, Rockstar seem to like waiting and releasing a proper game with no stupid bugs or errors in it like some other games.

I've never actually played any of the GTA games but I've managed to get hold of a copy of 5 for free so if I like it as much as it seems I'm supposed to then I'll keep an eye out for 6.

My nephew has it. AFAICT you steal a car. drive it around for a bit. jump out and beat a few people up. jump back in or steal someone elses. knock a few pedestrians down. and go look for a sex shop.

his mother keeps buying him money to spend in the game.

That's pretty much the story behind all the GTA games. Though in some you get to steal planes, motorbikes, and so forth.

2 - 3 years?
More than likely 6 or 7 years, and may not even debut until the PS5 and next Xbox

Damn, that does look good.

Shame though GTA 4 is buggy as hell still, reminds me why I've never played it. Took about an hour of fiddling with compatibility mode, several command line tweaks, and a third party DLL patch just to get it to run.

Lets hope 5 isn't such a huge POS when it comes out... or they don't leave huge, game-crippling bugs unfixed for 6+ years.

I have GTA5 on my PS3, but have hardly played it... but the PS3 version is dumbed down textures etc.

From what screenshots I have seen for the PC version, looks like Rockstar North is going all out for the PC.

I wouldn't say 'dumbed down'. Rather, the next-gen and PC versions were 'dumbed up'. After all, the original and first version, and the only version available for nearly a year, could not have been 'dumbed down' since there was nothing better before it to dumb down from.

They may be going all out but if it's as buggy as the last few GTA games on PC it won't count for much if people can't play it!

The PS3 and 360 versions were the normal versions and been out for about 18 months.

The next gen and PC versions were made after with higher res textures and better graphics and added game content.So there was no PS3 dumbing down. That was just the way the game was made at the time.

Was meaning Dumbed down in reference to what PC gamers usually have in terms of textures.
