Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
Hi,
(Perhaps subject title isn't very clear ) Raised new thread as couldnt see my issue raised anywhere else. Attempted to watch the football on SkySports last night on my PC (registered device for Anywhere Virgin Anywhere), having signed it to SkySports and set up a SKY PIN, but I get an error, and still get the error this morning when attempted to view SkySports on the PC. Silverlight is enabled, the error i am seeing is Apologies, this item has been interupted due to an error. Please click play to resume watching. [:t:6038 / c:4110] Any clues about this error ? Any one else have that issue ? regards TrevP |

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
You need to click on the Virgin Media logo thats on the left of the Sky login to use your VM details

Bring up the sky sports web page on your browser. www.skysports.com Click sign in. You will then see at the bottom of the page the virgin media logo. Click on that and sign in using your virgin media login details. |

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
You shouldn't be asked for a sky pin. Your virgin details should get you in, just did it and watching now no problem

I have 2 devices set for Virgin...surely I should be able to set these same 2 devices for Sky...or do i need to delete one those so I can set it for Sky ? AND MORE FRUSTRATION - I deleted one of my Virgin Registered Devices to see if that would allow me to register a Sky Device, but that doesn't....and NOW I cannot re-register that device as Virgin Device. This is now doing my head in. TrevP |

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
So, can someone confirm my assumptions:-
I can have 2 devices registered for Virgin Anywhere, AND a further 2 for Sky ? This being a correct assumption, WHY can I NOT set these devices, or why are they not automatically being registered ? (not browser related as tried on both IE & FF) Head against Brick Wall TrevP |

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
It was touched on above but I'm not sure understand the answer so, here goes...
I have a laptop and iPad registered as my 2 devices - both have worked flawlessly (and incidentally have never been changed) when streaming content via Virgin anywhere online (laptop) and via the iPad app. When using the Sky Sports iPad app it states that I have reached my device limit despite the iPad being registered. Customer Service call or is there a simpler solution that I'm overlooking? |
Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
Hi steve,
only two devices can be registered. ONLY ONE device, which you would select as your primary device can watch premium channels i.e sky sports. the other device can not |
Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
Ok, I am getting the same issue as reported by others when attempting to watch Sky Sports channels on Sky Sports.
- When I try to watch a Sky Sports channel over on Sky Sports website, I am getting error "Apologies, this item has been interrupted to an error. Please click play to resume watching.[t:6030 / c:4110]" - I'm logging on to Sky using the VM link and using my primary email address/password - The issue is happening for me on IE 11.0.9600.17239 and Google Chrome Version 36.0.1985.143 m - The issue is happening for all Sky Sports channels - Have installed Microsoft Silverlight (64-bit) Version: 5.1.30514.0 (have 64-bit Windows 7 installed), using Dell laptop - Uninstalling/reinstalled Silverlight has not worked - This suggested fix did not work for me - http://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Archived...ted/td-p/12057... Is there anything else that I could try to solve the problem? Can anyone from assist me with this? Anything I have missed? Many thanks. |

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
Has anyone had a problem of repeatedly having to re-install Silverlight, every time you want to watch Sky Sports on a lap top ? Any quick fixes ? Thanks AHCH:confused:

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
Sky sports xtra (essentially the sky sports red button service) not available via TV anywhere? Was hoping to watch redzone on the pc this evening, says I have to be a sky sports subscriber. Rather disappointing

Re: Anywhere Virgin - Error Trying to Watch Via SkySports
Been away a few weeks so am late to this particular party.
I too have problems logging in but only after the first login of the session. I can log in first time, all ok, but then if I close the session and return later I get the "undefined" page that some earlier posters were getting. I then return to the Skysports page again and it runs normally. I also notice that the skysports set up doesn't stay in full screen mode on a two monitor set up and also times out(sound but no picture) after just a few minutes. I've seen a thread complaining about this on a sky forum, but apparently they've been complaining for years, so not much hope there then! I only go on for Sky Sports News, if I paid for the premium stuff I'd be fuming. Also since I've been away the normal TV Anywhere no longer detects devices in Internet Explorer, it just times out. I've tried the documented fixes but no luck. It was perfectly ok before I went away. Works ok in Firefox though. Soapbox over.... |
