Nice find, post apocalyptic Lord of the flies.
Spoiled by overbearing music and teenagers, plot holes and unnecessary nudity (bird at river).
Which means it'll get 2 seasons ;)

Well the first 2 are probably because it's on The CW. What plotholes? Oh and cause it's on The CW.

This is one of those shows I'll keep watching for now.

Re: The 100

What nudity ?
I'm pretty sure she had her top and underwear on, unless you have some special episode ?

It was somewhat predictable until the final few scenes where the lad got speared.

I guess he must survive though as I'm sure the preview of the rest of the season included mention of him.

Re: The 100

Not nudity but topless actors in a lot of scenes. Something The CW does alot.

You know what I mean, is there a need for it in what is supposed to be their first few hours on earth searching for food, to then partially strip to go for a dip! Yea I get it "sex sells" so to speak but it really does spoil what could be a very good tv series, IMO of course

Re: The 100

What should she have done, put on a parka before going in the water? It's the CW, pretty people and flaunting it is present in everything they make.

I thought the episode was OK, nothing amazing but better than their usual fare.

TBH would you in the same scenario go skinny dipping in a river where you didn't know what was either under, in (as seen) or if even contaminated. I sure as hell wouldn't, in real life that wouldn't happen. Jump in the water and come out with your skin falling off or worse. IMO (and its just that) it wasn't needed. Maybe that's why I have such real issues with content on TV programs of today, no real thought goes into the story, just what sells. Maybe CW knows no other way to produce a TV program but thats their loss, making a TV prog that is entertaining, as close to real life as possible and as factual within the realms of what we know would be far more entertaining than gratuitous titillation.

Good news for all of us who were is disarray at the thought of The 100 coming to an end. I don't know how I missed it but I have just found out by accident that a prequel spin-off series is in the works which we'll be getting in the not too distant future:

Re: The 100

Yeah it was announced last year. It is a prequel though, so it will be fun to see how it goes.

General Maximus 15-05-2020 21:58

Re: The 100

I don't know how I missed that. It is going to be good though, I love stuff that builds on an existing story, it makes the whole universe frustrating. What is annoying in a fun way with stuff like this is that you get to see the mistakes that were made that lead to the events that we know transpired and you just want to say "if you don't do that and you do this then everything will be ok :)"

Paul 15-05-2020 23:51

Re: The 100

Its set 97 years before The 100 started, just after ALIE blew up the world.

I presume (hope) we will see how the tribes formed, and how the "Commander" came about (from Polaris).

cimt 16-05-2020 00:09

Re: The 100

I think it will because it sounds like the backdoor pilot that we will be seeing takes place when the bombs drop. So we will see the beginning of the tribes for sure.
