Slow speed today

I am only getting 10meg download this morning in the WN2 postcode area.

Rebooted modem and made no difference so will see how it goes before contacting VM.

Another helpful comment so how long have you had BT fibre as last time you got a good deal on VM 120Mb/12Mb.

To the OP can you post your modem stats? are you testing wired or wireless?

I was testing it wired, always do. Later that day the speed was back to normal.

Plusnet had offered me a great deal (Fibre Unlimited Broadband Only - 18 Months Contract) reduced from £22.49 to £13.99 a month (18 months discount loyalty) and getting this speed 73Mb/18Mb all day ;)

to be fair to him I have just gone on the plusnet website and done an availability checker with two residential postcodes in telford and both came back saying I could get up to 76mbits fiber.

Re: Slow speed today

Plusnet is available ADSL/ADSL2+/FTTC in the whole of nationwide of UK because it based under BT Wholesale network. More fool you broadbandking. He doesn't know what he was talked about.

it will only be available in areas where fttc is available and I am not sure if openreach have completed all the upgrade work yet.

Re: Slow speed today

All Telford area had now completed FTTC roll out

General Maximus 21-02-2014 10:13

Re: Slow speed today

I know because they roll it out by area. I am referring to your comment about fttc being available nationwide based on the premise that it is available via BT

Perhaps you missed where he already posted a screenshot of the BT Wholesale checker showing his exchange and line being enabled for FTTC.
