TV Anywhere: Box not found on this network
 
I've connected my TiVo box to my home network using a TP link router in client mode.

I can sign into the TV Anywhere app and access the TiVo in away mode (set recordings etc.) but I cannot control my TiVo box because it reports that a box can't be found on the network.

The TiVo box is showing up in my routers connected devices list and I can ping it from my iPhone so I don't know what the problem is.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having the same problem, there is no problem with my home network set up but having the same problem!

There were a coule of fault tickets for this app, but now seem fixed!:confused:

Yes you go through the troubleshooting VM guide and you are just wasting your time, I have checked my home plugs and they are connected fine to my superhub:(

Thanks for that, the description of this ticket is much more vague on the service status page for this problem as I have no issues other than this from my TiVo service!

Have you enabled the "Network remote control" option in the TIVO settings? http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MER_TYPE=Cable

The bug this thread is about is a know fault and not a set up issues but to me effects not everybody though?

Wow just checked the Vigin Media service status page for this problem, they have now define the problem to the iOS app and now the fix date is next Tuesday 14th:(

Something for everyone to note, really. Always try a re-boot if you are having a problem with your box. If that doesn't work, do the full thing by pulling the plug out and waiting 20 seconds.

Nine times out of ten at least, this should clear the problem.

Troubleshooting this one can get involved from VM guide from rebooting either or both Super hub/TiVo, deleting then reinstall the app if that does not work. After all this you start doubting your home plugs are working and have to check other devices on it to see if they are working correct, then you find on this forum the fault is with VM;)

Must have been a bug in the App - or at least a bug that has been fixed by updating the app.

V2.2.4 is available in the App store - although I haven't actually tried it at home yet!

Thank you for the notice. Just updated and everything is working fine now. Been annoying not being able to use it.

Ditto thanks for that, had a heart failure when I went to the service status page that everything is now working fine, but when I went onto the app it was still not working as i needed to update it :dunce::D

Well, the updated app worked for a few days and now it can't find the box again.

The app is still working for me, all I can suggest is go through VM troubleshooting guide for the IPad app link here

This app is so annoying ... had to download it again for it to work, and reboot tivo :( hope the problems get fixed soon phoned VM and they said they are working on it where the samsung tab is concerned there seem's to be a lot of problems, works okay on son's ipad so he tell's me.
