Remove Katie Hopkins from all programmes and interviews

On the 30th of November 2013, Scotland was still in shock and trying to come to terms with a horrible crash that took the lives of innocent people. Within 24 hours of this happening Katie Hopkins posted vile remarks on Twitter about how long the people of Scotland live for.

This is unacceptable and distressing to those who lost friends and family.

We the undersigned are sick and tired of ITV and Channel 5 giving her airtime and want her banned from all tv shows on your channels such as This Morning and The Wright Stuff.

This woman is nothing more than an attention seeker who does not deserve to be a celebrity

I disagree with this campaign. I can't stand the woman but I can't see her comments being connected to the crash. She's so self-absorbed that I doubt she's aware of anything that occurs north of Watford.

Going on her usual sickening attitude had she been referring to the crash she'd have said the people of Glasgow, not just Scotland.

Repost on the 2 channel's FB pages.

That will also put pressure on these companies

I don't see anything wrong with what she posted. It's totally unrelated to the tragic accident.

You need to calm down a bit.

Personally i'm sick and tired of facebook and twitter warriors, maybe a petition to get them removed from social media sites is in order

She's a tactless attention seeker, as is her right in a free country.

Is this all the Internet is any good for these days, for shouting down people who don't conform to other people's ideas of tact, taste or otherwise acceptable opinions?

Aimed at anyone who's taken offence to what the woman posted on Twitter, 'tis quite simple really

Unless it appears on a Forum I visit or the Mail website I never watch or read anything this vile woman does.

People just want to take offence for the hell of it. Becoming quite a thing now and the majority have no legit reason to be offended. You can't say anything in this country anymore without people creating an uproar for no real reasons.

Andy Gray is another example of this. He should have been allowed to issue an apology but typically the countries Facebook and Twitter warriors along with apparent caring women bombarded Sky and pressured them. It wasn't a big deal, people just made it one.

Stop taking offence on behalf of other people please, it's a joke now.

You could add "that lot will do anything to avoid the question". Doesn't it raise an important issue? Why is life expectancy 59.5 years in Scotland?

She is the one that used the 59.5 years figure.

The tweet about Scotland referred to an official document detailing life expectancy trends across the country - although 59.5 is in fact the 'healthy' life expectancy for Scottish men, not the total figure.

It's because we stay up all night drinking Tennants super lager, smoking heroin and eating deep fried Mars bars whilst sitting in squalor listening to the Proclaimers greatest hits. See you Jimmy and all that lark :p:

Do please explain how posting an unrelated fact about life expecancy in Scotland is "vile".

Did they all tell you that then ? or are you just another one of these people who likes to get offended on behalf of others, who more than likely dont really care, or even know about it, since they have much more important things to worry about.

We the undersigned are sick and tired of losers on twitter who have nothing better to do than hound people they disagree with. I think they should all be banned. Twitter has a very appropriate name in the case of some of its users.

I presume you are either a friend or family member of one of the deceased? If not, what give you the right to be offended on their behalf?

While I personally don't like her, this women is doing something legal. She is expressing her opinions. If you don't her, do what I do, don't watch her. If people weren't watching, she wouldn't be on. You can bet that even in a program such as This Morning, ITV would be doing their best to track the viewing figures throughout the programme, rather than just relying on a final figure, so people clearly do watch her.

There is, IMO, too much willingness to be offended with no real need, and too many calls to ban something. This is wrong, Not because I feel some silly woman needs to be able to have a pop at the Scottish. I don't. What is worrying me is that people seem to be becoming increasingly scared of offending people which could cause them to restrict what they are saying. While we've never had truly free speech in this country (and there are good reasons we don't), this could ultimately restrict that free speech even more than it is. That is not good for society as a whole.

Simple - combine the national dress of Scotland with the dreaded vertical take-off thistle.

Because thrifty Scots don't like drawing their pensions? :)

Congrats to you OP you've just made her aware to more people that never heard of her but some will now look her up good job on limiting her exposure. I don't do twitter or facebook seen enough of what goes on with both of them to never want to bother plus i don't have the ego to think anyone gives a rats about what i'm doing. Like so many others i am getting heartily sick of this whole "we're offended" culture that seems to be exploding right now and always from social media. If your truly offended don't read\watch it's really not hard and once enough people do that wollah it will go away.

Causing offence it seems is at epidemic proportions i can only attribute this to the two widely known medical conditions of "too much time on our hands" and "thin skin syndome" as most of what is supposedly causing offence in the grand scheme of things is nothing offensive of the sort just a different opinion. There are things in life that are really offensive this and the hundreds of others like this are not in that category.

Wow!! What a kerfuffle...

Who is Katie Hopkins, I still don't know.

Don't tell I really couldn't care less.

All I know about her, from this thread, is that she is yet another good reason for not bothering with FaceBook or Twitter.
