How despicable
:(:(http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/prince-charles-india-tour-greets-2710621
Isn't it strange that a very large poliated country like Inida, with its very poor districts, pulls all the stops out for Royalty. And yet, the area of India that Prince Charles has a major clean up and disinfected the place that that Charles could walk, yet just up the road a load of stinking rubbish was covered up to save the embarrassment. The poor people live in crap, disease and filth, and yet the India Government clean the place up. Why can't they do this all the time. So that people can live in decent places. Sadly, this is why Charities show the real truth about poor countries and yet have to depend on donations for these people to survive. |
re: How despicable
Despicable.
This is nothing new with India. Same story different day. Their economy will continue to prosper whilst the majority of their own people suffer. |

We do the same you know ,when visiting dignitaries come to Britain they are shown the pageantry, the pomp and ceremony ,they are not shown a run down council estate in Sheffield or the homeless under the bridges in London |
Re: How despicable
I really don't see how this is despicable??

Re: How despicable
'Dispicable' the people of a country are suffering from filth, and extreme poverty. Yet a big country like India, pull back the sheets and clean up to show a Royal there country.
WHY, don't they show the real TRUTH about the country, and get Royal's to walk through the crap in the country, that they visit. Its like showing the Royals the streets of Glasgow and taking them round the poor parts of the City, or London for that matter. And before members start having a go at what l have said, my family come from the poor parts of the City. |
Re: How despicable
I am pretty sure that Charles and others know the real situation. There is no harm making the place look more presentable though.
I am 99% sure any country does the same when Royals or other countries leaders visit. Am sure Glasgow would hide all the buckfast bottles and take all the homeless and put them elsewhere for a visit like that lmao. |

I'm sure cleaning up the place for Charles cost peanuts compared to sending a spacecraft to Mars.

Re: How despicable
Nobody can win when Arthur is on a rant.
It was only the other day that he was bemoaning the government for giving aid to impoverished people of India (I assume that's where it goes and until proven otherwise I'll just have to believe that those in nsed actual get it) So they clean up an area, regardless of why, they did. Which short term alleviates disease and may prove that once cleaned the people of that area keep it Cleaned. If this helps one person get out of the pile of Crapo they live in then that's a good thing is it not |

Re: How despicable
My rant is on the fact that, when you get royals and MPs going to world countries, that country has a mjor clean up in the AREA where they are going.
And to me the government SHOULD NOT give aid to countries such as India, we have problems in this country that they should be dealing with. |

A few years ago I was shocked to see our local Labour council going over the top cleaning our street and weeding between the joints of my garden wall etc. It all became apparent a few days later when it was announced that Princess Anne was visiting the successful hostel ;) we have in our street. |
Re: How despicable
Surely it'd be cheaper to just have them travel everywhere with an open tin nearby... :D
