Re: tv anywhere

on the I-Pad you need to have Tivo is this the same for android users who just log in through the website?

I heard it was planned for end of August but that is now looking unlikely

I'm pretty sure you'll need TiVo for the Android app.

Re: tv anywhere

Is it at all possible to use TV Anywhere on Android just via the browser until an app is released? Just had a quick go but looks like a lack of Flash Player is going to be an issue.

Re: tv anywhere

i have tried via the browser also but the lack of flash makes it impossible :)

Re: tv anywhere

I've got flash, sideloaded it, but it won't register the device even when i set the browser user agent to desktop. I tried with it set to iPad but it told me i needed to download the iPad app. Defo a no go until they sort this android app out.

Browsing the official forums, people have said it's been released to some staff for testing

...because the main function is control of a TiVo? Streaming is extra.

Re: tv anywhere

I got TIVO especially to use the streaming TV the call handler failed to tell me it was Apple only. I saw the first post saying it would be available this year but with Xmas only 10 weeks off it seems unlikely. Now a previous poster says its only free to control the TIVO box and I will be charged for streaming TV. If thats the case I may as well cancel!!!!

Re: tv anywhere

There is no charge to stream the channels that are available on your package, just the limited amount of channels might let you down

Apologies, my previous post must be unclear.

The main function of the app is to control the TiVo. The streaming function had to be added to the core function provided by the original US app. The app is completely free.
