how can I remove the Agila 1.2 Club 2009 Air filter?
 

Can any one please advise me how can I remove the Aglia 1.2 Club 2009 Air filter?

I take it you can't see any obvious screw/clips holding the filter cover closed?
Vauxhall have a habit of using secure clips to prevent things failing!
Go into Halford and look at replacement sparkplugs, size up a socket to remove plugs!
(I wrecked 2 T Bar wrenches in trying to remove plugs from a Meriva)

I know, unless you have already changed the plugs, the two jobs go hand in hand.

They do not do one for the Agila and they do not have plans on producing one.

It says bit is Haynes but when I contacted Haynes a few days ago they said they have no intention of making a manual so I think it is a scam

Thanks but the Aglia is completely different arrangement as the Agila filter is on the top of the engine, I can see a clip but unclipping that it dose not release the filter box so some where there must be a hidden clip of fastening some where.

Is there a bolthead visible... my Skoda's airfilter is held on by clips all around PLUS a pair of bolts?

There is one clamp that can see but releasing that still dose not allow me to removing the filter housing.

I have spoken to a garage but their response was we will replace the air filter but will charge you £30 for the filter plus £20 plus VAT labour.

I can purchase a non Vauxhall air filter for £11.98 including VAT.

I under stand their response but it dose not help me in trying to do the job my self to keep costs down.

My first attempt to remove my Meriva air filter was a failure, not untill I took a torchlight to look all round the filter cover.
Screws on 3 sides but didn't realise 2 plastic latches holding the side nearest the offside wing. So to remove I had to tilt the cover to release after taking all screws out.

I did a closer inspection with help of a inspection mirror and a inspection lamp and I finally saw a second clip hidden but even when I unclipped it nothing cold be moved, it was very difficult to get to..

Back to the drawing board.
