Already on Volume 3? Blimey, only feels like yesterday Volume 2 launched. Great work MB, looking forward to seeing how long it takes before we get our first whinge about MB. Only news I'm wanting is whether we get BT sports or not. Not fussed about anything else personally.

Just gone back through the previous years Coming Soon.. threads. Overall, 2010 had the most replies over the year 10,816. Single thread that had most replies was Volume 3 in 2011, with 5,643 replies. Shows just how popular this thread is on CF. Don't ever stop MB!

Ginx TV will be making its UK linear channel platform debut on channel 286 soon.

I have just found that Virgin Media have added Horror Channel to Virgin on Demand XL under the banner CBS Horror.

I've got sky sports and it works on TV anywhere if the memsahib is watching Constapation Street I can have the sport on the laptop. Streaming channels should show them all and includes the movies

You will have sports if you're watching TV Anywhere on your laptop. It's the TV Anywhere iPhone/iPad APP where you can't watch sports or movies and have limited channel availability.

Do Virgin have a linux app for their TV anywhere? That would actually impress me :D

Technically Sky Go works on Linux as android is a flavour of linux. If VM have a linux app it wouldn't take much work to port it to android and satisfy customers with those phones/tablets.

With a bit of programming and searching google you can get sky go and netflix to work on linux. Netflix actually has a unofficial app for linux too :D

I've only used virgins anytime tv on my pc so i wouldn't know about it's app as my phone is Android (hint hint vm lol).

But I can't take my pc anywhere and I neither want to lug a laptop about,want to watch on my iPad,can on sky can't on vm so me personally virgins tv is far from anywhere

I'm with you on this one, Sports and Movies are a must for the ipad, would rather Virgin delivered that than Atlantic.

Had Netflix and some other similar apps on my modified firmware WDTV which runs on a cut down linux too. Got a Synology NAS now which also runs a flavour of linux and was wondering if the Sky go app could stream through it. Was reading about DVBlink and it seems with a USB pen attached you can record tv straight to the NAS hard drive which can then be streamed to any device on the network. More stuff to play with, linux based hardware is cool :D

So is it a rights issue that stops VM from letting their TV streaming app work over 3G/4G, or is it the problem of utilising different quality/sized streams of the same content?

You really should have a Blackberry as we are now waiting for the 10.2 software and then we will have the (4.2 jellybean support) then we may be able to side load the app when it is released for Android and then converted?

Not shocked really. Tat products, tatty presenters. I remember the days of watching the shopping channels when the female presenters wore skimpy skirts and it was a treat to watch them. Now they are like robots.

So, how comes SKY and Freeview get Drama automatically and Virgin have to negotiate a deal for it? Thought Drama was a straight swap for Blighty, so makes no sense that Virgin have to settle a deal to carry it.

yes was watching BBC 2 HD and the screen went blank, all other HD channels the same, SD is still okay

picture has been bad recently, maybe they are trying to fix the picture break ups have to say SD channels got better since the HD channels went

Maybe it's a quick adjustment as they are about to add Sky Atlantic HD and the BT Sport HD channels! :)

Unlikely -there are still many V+ boxes that are not MPEG4 capable.

it's just BBC1 and BBC2 HD down, (994 is working as all are others that I've checked such as Eurosport, ITV HD no sound still)

-Broadcastnow is reporting that Virgin and Sky are 'in talks' over Sky Atlantic.
-Virgin Media are still in talks with BT over BT Sport - As far as I know (As of July 3rd).
-You will need to ask that poster over on DS Forum for more info on Universal HD.
