Three reduce prices

I just thought this may be of some interest to some people here.

From 1st July Three will be reducing their prices

The One Plan which gives 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, 5000 3 to 3 mins and unlimited data with tethering included will be £15 per month on a 12 month contract or £18 per month on a 1 month contract:

Check out all the other prices here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zmpqt24wfd...629_085448.jpg

Re: Three reduce prices

Their pay as you go rates have also been improved

We believe Pay As You Go should offer simplicity and value. That’s why we’re offering mind-blowing rates of 3p a minute, 2p a text and 1p a MB of data.

Those really are mind blowing rates.

Good prices and their network seems to be pretty good. Been a customer of Three for almost a year, very impressed with them.

Same here, been with them about 8 months and am really pleased with my current plan and data speed. I came over to 3 from Vodafone, who are (imo) abysmal.

Was using a number of GB an evening when I moved house and waiting for broadband to be installed, all tethered :)

Re: Three reduce prices

I used to tether when I was on o2. Three was blocking it on the one I'm on now and I couldn't get around it.

I've just changed my package to the £15 month one.

If you can’t find a Wi-Fi Hotspot, simply turn on Mobile Hotspot on your BlackBerry® smartphone, found under Manage Connections, and create a hotspot. Then share it by connecting up to five Wi-Fi devices at once.
Once the phone is turned in to the mobile hotspot, your dell should see it as a wireless network. Clicking the the 5 bars icon on the bottom right of the toolbar in windows should show it.

I think it's an add on
£5 month.

Just got a SIM from them to check what signal I can get at home, bearing in mind I get weak EDGE signals on the other 3 networks and I'm pleased to see it showing HSPA+.

Think it's time to change.

Go through Topcashback and get between £36 - £64 cashback.

might get that for her now even though her contract has a few months to run as I was looking at a WI FI hub for her so she can use her net book books as school can't or won't let her on thier net work.

Just have to see how good a 3 signal they get in Pontypool now lol

Re: Three reduce prices

I'm tempted to switch my main phone (C902) to their payg - it's cheaper than all the MVNOs that I can find. Just wish mum's (my old one) had some better options (VM locked).
1p / MB for data is a big plus too, compared to VM's £1 / 100MB - picks your pocket if you accidentally spin up something that uses a scrap of data

Gary L 04-07-2013 10:43

Re: Three reduce prices

From what I've read you get 150MB of free data with every top up you make.

Wow, AND the 1p/Mb rate, was expecting they'd dropped the topup bonus on that tariff

Re: Three reduce prices

You still get the all in one add on's if you use a lot of data etc...

As for the £15 deal, that's exceptional value for money, all the other networks are going backwards. Virgin and t mobile limiting data and speed, orange scrapping their "unlimited" deals, O2's crappy network and Vodafone's crappy and overpriced network.

I wonder what we will see come out in the next few weeks from the other networks, but whatever they offer, I know they cant beat Three's truly unlimited service.

Re: Three reduce prices

My new plan started today. got all the extra minutes and texts, but the tethering isn't working.
I keep getting the Three "are you trying to use the phone as a modem" page.

called them up and they're saying it normally takes 24hrs for all services to kick in.

I'll call them back tomorrow when it still isn't working.

that's really strange as I can tether on PAYG even though I am not supposed to

Re: Three reduce prices

What phone you using?

I'm using 2 iphones. and when you get the naughty page. you have to reboot the phone to get the net working back on the phone again.

It's not me. it's them. whatever's blocking me hasn't been switched off at their end.

Have a HTC One.

Previously was on The One Plan before my contract ended, but I did port my number out to Virgin and back to Three as they didn't allow me to make it a PAYG number
