Apps down?

Some of the apps on TiVo haven't been working for about 4 days now. Anyone know when these issues will be resolved?

Seems like they updated some of the apps, e.g. Twitter, but it seems to have backfired ATM.

I got my apps back after a reboot of the Tivo

I used Spotify this morning, and YouTube last night.

I did that a few times yesterday, but some apps still don't work.

Does Twitter work for you?

You have to link it online to your actual Twitter account. Does anyone use it, and if so; is it working for you?

Not working for me. I get an error "Sorry, there was a problem connecting to twitter - please try again"

You could report it to VM, but I expect it is related to the network fault that happened on Friday.

All apps on my parents box currently working fine , the TV Anywhere app on iPad keeps repeatedly coming up with a communication error though.

I am more worried with the fault no F002417349 that says you might not be able to watch certain on demand content:( I am not suffering with this fault at present (unlike yesterday) but I hope I will be able to watch Wrestlemania tonight after reserving this PPV in advance!

I recommend that CF members go to the Service Status page of My Virgin Media for an update on all these faults that seem interconnected!

I have the same issue mate. I told them already, but they said they were unaware of the issue. :(

Only worry about that one if you want to watch Friday's Coronation Street :)

That's fine. Someone has to be first to report things.

I know, but I am surprised they didn't notice it themselves, as I am 99% sure; they upgraded the Twitter app, and it was a result of that.

On Thursday, it kept logging me into some else's account, despite it being linked to my account.

Sorry SP which fault caused On demand section on the TiVo home to be greyed out with an exclamation mark:confused:

This happened to me yesterday, so I presume would stop me accessing live events?

It was F002416256, and yes it would have stopped you accessing live events, but as far as we know all TiVos are now connecting to the servers OK. There may still be residual problems with apps and TV Anywhere.

Thanks for the reassurance :), I have had problems with PPV's in the past, one of the best ones came when Wrestlemania fell on the weekend of the clocks going forward and VM showed the event starting at 1am not 12 midnight, to say it was fun ringing overseas CS about that fault would have been stretching it:D

For the record my IPad anytime app is still timing out.

So what happened spiderplant?

spiderplant 08-04-2013 09:52

Re: Apps down?

A router that connects to the TiVo server farm failed. It automatically switched to a backup system, but it took a long time to get everything connecting through the new route.

Just noticed VM have taken the Twitter app away. Hopefully they are trying to rectify the problem.

Any idea what's happened?

Over a week's gone, but the Twitter App is still absent.

Not sure to be perfectly honest but on the whole the apps section has been a utter disaster as soon as Cindy Rose opened her mouth and uttered those words.

I am just quite surprised it still hasn't been sorted.

This issue has been present for three weeks, and VM still haven't resolved it.

What are they playing at?

When I tried accessing apps the other night none of the images were showing and when you selected them the screen went blank and then went to the app menu. If you clicked on YouTube in the Search & Browse menu it said app not found and gave a URL of where the app was supposed to be. Seems to all be working fine now though

I encountered the same issue mate. I don't know if it had something to do with updating the box.
