What makes me laugh
http://news.sky.com/story/1066114/bu...rborrow-by-8bn
I just had to make this comment when l read this article. Each time Cameron and Osborne comeone Tv and talk about our financial status, they always say ' due to the wasteful resources of the previous govrnment they have waste billions' And yet they are borrowing money all the time, and yet nothing is happening to the economy, And on Question Time recently it was said by the panel that the Tories have borrowed more money than Labout ever did. And gurranteed iin the budget, he will once again hit the poor, and still no news of Mansion Tax What a cheeek. |

......and the link works :tu: :D

Re: What makes me laugh
I think people have realised now that George is totally useless when it comes to money.
|
Re: What makes me laugh
I still can't believe how much money disappeared worldwide. And how it still seems to be sucked into black holes somewhere. All the cuts around the world, and still no light at the end of the tunnel.
Something is fishy.... |
Re: What makes me laugh
This is what makes laugh so much is that when the cut arrives, yes he will hit the poor, they will argue that there policies are working, yet, he will argue that they are right in sending billions of pounds of our money to overseas countries.
Whilst, we have to struggle and the rich will prosper and he will say that his plans are working, an yet to borrow more monmre and blame the last government on getting the UK in such a mess. Vincent Cable said that we have to borrow to get the country running again, in that case how comes we have hit a table recession, and he hasn't a clue on what is going on. Guaranteed Cigarettes will go up, Beer prices will go up, probably another way to hit motorists, an yet he won't say anything about hitting the rich. On that panel on Question Time the film producer that was on there made several argument for the poor and he was quickly hammered down by the Tory MP. There is nothing to be shown by this borrowing from Osborne, that is improving the well being of the UK. |

Re: What makes me laugh
For all those who seem to claim the poor are being hit hardest at the expense of the rich perhaps you should check this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21740450 That graph is quite striking. Yes those on low incomes are being hit, mostly due to the welfare system changes, but it's clear those on big incomes are taking a major share. Only problem is those on big incomes, compared to the the numbers on welfare is quite disproportionate so raising money from the rich alone won't cut it (and perhaps some are good at avoidance schemes)
Blaming the previous government is par for the course. Labour undoubtedly went on a spending spree, most of that covered by borrowing. The effects of the repayments of that borrowing take a while to come through so now we see borrowing to pay off repayments, i.e. the money can't fund anything new, just old cost. It's why spending for the sake of it doesn't work other than in the short term. |

Actually it shows this
Quote:
Loss of child benefit. Awww didumms they needed that £20 a week to support their kids didn't they What they can contribute tax free to pensions. Well someone on over 1 million deserves to be skint if they spend it all before they grow old I spend every penny I get ,most on benefit spend all there money so it stays in the economy. The rich are keeping hold of their money because of low interests so they are investing elsewhere not in banks meaning the banks have no money to lend low investment and the poor GDP I would not say the exchequer is solvent as its not able to pay debts its still borrowing so by definition its not solvent |

so ? the graph does not show us anything of anything that is a surprise. I agree with what you say about the working man not getting hit to hard. I am not as selfish as you may think. I want the worker to earn more than someone on benefits its just some people this year who are already poor are going to be poorer. And lets face it the majority of people are stupid so when the universal credit comes in the idiots will not be able to budget and before that they have to survive with no cash for 4 weeks |

Critised Cameron for his not understanding between defecit and debt. Even economist sent letter to press secretary:shocked:. http://blogs.channel4.com/factcheck/...t-claims/12556 ha joon chang lambasted osboure other the way they handled things. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisf...-long-term-fix It seems we have country always looks short term fiscal policies maybe down to the 5 year merry go round. Surely economy comes before party or it should. Maybe just maybe that thick skin is waning. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2...ne-growth-plan Did hear right might actually be going for growth budget. Not just growth but actually in other areas than london region which is like warzone of economic destruction. If we get it right into areas which need and also has the ability to growth sector. Wonder which are the 6 areas they identified for the billions investment. As long its for boosting our productivty then we will start turning it. We need industrial hearland to grow bring healthy return. However we can only work in harmany if there is army ready to spend. |

The rich will always be protected by the Tories, its where they get donations from.
I worked for a guy for three years, and he was always doing something to pay less tax, he expected us to work all hours of the day to make him money, after two years he made so much money he moved to a little manasion in Kent and treated us like crap. Whta this government have to do in the budget is make it even all over, there are loads of people out there that are on £80.000 per year and more, yes they do run businesses but they also get perks from the government to take on staff and pay less tax, while the workforce get hit with high proces. Onlt recently we found that many famous people have off shore accounts to avoid paying tax, but you get Joe Bloggs and hes found out - gets 6 months in the klink. Tell me a rich man that donates to labour and pays full tax. |

All of whom pay exactly the right amount of tax demanded by HMRC 'cos if they didn't they would be in jail or prosecuted for tax evasion. |
Re: What makes me laugh
Arthur seriously some of the points you think your making are absolutely stupid it was a labour chancellor that exalted the city of London, it was a labour government that laid the foundation for the crash to hit us as hard because they relaxed regulatory powers so much in the financial sector. Also to say no rich person donates to labour honestly have you totally forgotten the term "champagne socialist" trust me Arthur i know some think we do but it isn't claimants that drink champagne it's .... people, go on arthur i know saying it in the context of labour will be hard but you can do it.

Re: What makes me laugh
Tell you something I respect Arthur not because of his posts but because he has stones after all the grief he gets he still posts. . Fair play to ya Arthur :)

no he does not ,he gets corrected or disagreed with the same as anyone else. What is really frustrating is that he spouts a load of waffle and refuses to back any of his claims up with facts or even a sensible argument ,it's like debating with a dinosaur in the local working mans club |

Now its got me thinking are we too critical those who make decisions some polititians not brightest at best of times. Certainly often not experts in the field they given rely others helping who in the know. Take osbourne are these moves osbournes or lobbyist/advisors either for vested interest or bad advice. Was Labour pressed to sell gold for the gain others. Was the relaxing regulations the bankers telling it was good thing had a greedy motive. Simply are the governments really the people in charge or puppets for others to push those policies to gain. With threats of removal party funds if they dont play by there rules. Do we need major overhaul the way governments work. |

Ah I wasn't the only one to get thrown a red for pointing out the main flaw in Arthurs argument then good to know. If he makes an incorrect assertion in his arguments people are going to pick up on it nothing at all to do with personal attacks.
