Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
A good start to the season :)
I noticed one book change (maybe two - it's been a while!), but it made sense due to the nature of the format. |
Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
Heavy episode this week OMG

Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3

George RR Martin and Joss Whedon walk into a bar - someone you love dies....

Woah!

Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
What's the problem? I thought it was all quite sweet. Granted Snow having to leave Ygritte was pretty brutal but not that bad. I didn't catch the last 10 minutes though, did anything else happen?

Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
LOL, I assume you are joking...
Oh, and I hope no one follows Frankie Boyle on Twitter... as well as spoiling the wedding he also managed to spoil two major things coming up... |

As big as it was, I was expecting it not to of happened in the books with how some websites were going on about it.

From what I can see the next episode is gonna be just as mental.

Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
It's Interesting, I don't see what story arc the Starks will follow now, as they are a spent force.
Best thing on telly though, along with breaking bad. |
Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
Jon & the younger kids are still around.

Thing is we have seen someone bought back from the dead so we never know for sure if anyone killed will stay that way

Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
Can't believe we have to wait another year.
They should have more episodes per season. |
Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
they have not finished the book so they could have if they wanted to

In the book Rob's wife wasn't at the 'Red Wedding' so in theory could have lived with her being pregnant with his heir (in fact it was his mother-in-law that set it up in the first place NOT the Lannisters). Looks like Sky have dictated how Martin writes book 6 to an extent now. Surely he was consulted with something as big as this though. |
Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
Not SKy who just transmit the programme in the UK. HBO are the makers of it and it would be them who have ultimate production sway. The third book has been split into two TV seasons, and so some book timelines have changed to suit the TV production. As Martin is credited with an exec production role, I'm sure his voice is heard.

if 3rd book is going to be 2 tv seasons it will give Martin time to make his book 6 deadline of 2015 (if he and I last that long). |
Re: Game of Thrones : Season 3
The two showrunners have been told the overall story by GRRM and where he plans everyone to be by the end of the saga.
If any changes they wanted to make would mess up future events due to conflicting with the books, he'd tell them. |
