French invade Mali
http://news.antiwar.com/2013/01/11/f...wad-offensive/
Islamics hold 2 3rds of the north of the country and have started to move south. Apparently the UKs involvement so far is to fly some African troops in |
Re: French invade Mali
The West used to be afraid of the March of Communism, but now it's the March of Islam.

Re: French invade Mali
I saw the change in the majority French muslim population go from mostly very tolerant Algerians and Morrocans to very intolerant black Africans, including Malians.
Crime rose as they started to dominate, by both birth and immigration. Many more areas of the major cities are practically no-go areas now for both "indigenous" French and the original Algerian/Morrocan populations. Violent crimes are also much more common in areas with the black majorities. Members of our family moved away from the "black" areas as soon as they could. P.S. They prefer to be known and addressed as "blacks"... the English word. Hollande may have stirred up a hornets' nest back in France with this aid to Mali. |
Re: French invade Mali
Good. These nutcases need ousting.
@ Taf... From what I've heard from fellow Arsenal supporters connected to France in some way is that theres a divide. According to who I heard stuff from.. middle class look down upon Africans, there were no higher class jobs for blacks or so on but at the sametime some classed them as crazy inbreds not able to fit in or something. Some said African families in France that are middleclass steer clear of the conflict. If its a ghetto attitude then what do you expect but they need educating. Does that make sense to you or is it wrong? |
Re: French invade Mali
AFAIC, education moves some people away from religious domination and towards civilisation, and upper classes tend to get better education.
|
Re: French invade Mali
i get that. i was asking with regards to some of the crazy stuff, antisocial stuff not the extremists although you could call the antisocial stuff extremist behaviour too. im pretty sure it hit football hard at some clubs.

Re: French invade Mali
I was watching the new yesterday and Channel 4 had a report from within Mali that showed the French had already been successful in stopping the militants and the Mali people were all pretty grateful and hoped the French would stay for a while!
The French know how to invade a country and when to go to war... |

Re: French invade Mali
Did anyone else read the thread title as "French invade Mail"? I came here half expecting to read about how the French had finally had enough of a certain sometimes racist English newspaper and had invaded their London offices.

Re: French invade Mali
Looks like the situation around Mali is worse than originally thought. We're still awaiting the result of the Algerian operation to free the captive hostages taken by 'militants'. It's unclear if it's directed related to Mail at the moment but there is a suspicion that it may well be.
If it is then they're not especially smart. They warn the French so they captured hostages from many nationalities including British and American. I don't much like British citizens being held, and at least 1 killed, by militants and I suspect others feel the same. Do the French need some more help? |
Re: French invade Mali
i just come across this...
m.thestar.com/news/world/article/1317292--gadhafi-s-vanished-arsenal-stoking-sahara-unrest-experts-say big mission over in Africa not just Mali if the above is to be believed. can France sort it out AND sort the Mali army out? i think more forces will be required. i think SkyNews said other Countries armies in Africa coming through to help need tuning up too. |
Re: French invade Mali
the problem with the african armies is that they are under trained and under equipped really. Otherwise these issues wouldnt be happening as Human Health Watch isnt that much acknowledged in africa.

There will be great lose of life but it will be mainly on the insurgent and militia side. The more they use them the more the West will destroy them. It will take time i admit but they will all be destroyed in the end. |
Re: French invade Mali
Destroyed they will be and we hope its a domino effect but they still have dangerous weapons. Plus if the weapons are elsewhere and being used connected to Mali in someway and other Countries try get a grip over the nutcases then theres clearly a bigger fight on here.
