How much do you pay?
 

Noticed a few comments on here about how much people pay and I'm interested to see what people on here get for there buck, especially with the price rise coming soon. As I'm starting the thread I'm guessing I should go first.

I have sky hd with all the sports, movies etc and multi room
Broadband with a 15mb connection
Sky talk anytime phone package

I pay £83 p/m for the first 6 months then £103p/m

Considering the greater number of HD channels, Atlantic etc I'd struggle to justify VM now.

I'm paying a reduced price as I have been over-charged whilst I wasn't living here.
Only myself and another connected to the small cab. Super-speedy.
I used to pay £25.99. It's been reduduced to £17.99 bcause they messed up. I'll be be geting an increase on my monthly bill of £1 next month.
I can go with that.

I don't have any other VM services. !???
And I wouldn't want your contract.

Contacting Sky directly might be a complete pain. Dish, wiring etc. But worth it?

Mine is £100.28 at the moment rising to £104.68 in Feb, called retentions and got it reduced to £80.28 rising to £82.25 in Feb excluding line rental as I paid £120 up front so a reduction overall by about £10. all for the same package. XL TV, BB. Phone plus sky sports and movies.

Just under £59pm at the moment (plus usually around £5pm for calls) - for 60Mb/s BB, XLTV, and Phone with free weekend calls (Premiere Collection).

TV xl, 1gb TiVo and multiroom (v+hd); landline with anytime calls, 08 calls and caller display; 60mb broadband - £70.20 off the top of my head plus a good deal on my mobile as a quad play customer. Currently awaiting news of a price increase and considering options - it's already £10 more expensive than when I started and only been a customer for two years this month. It is, however, still cheaper for me than Sky when you factor in free ESPN and hd, and more suited to my needs when you consider I'm not in a Sky fibre/infinity area and my adsl speed is too slow.

Sky 3D is included when you subscribe to Sky World (Sky Entertainment Plus, Sky Sports and Sky Movies) as well as the HD Pack

I will not post my price as it will make you cry but I get 30Mb going up shortly to 60Mb, the Top television package minus sport and movies, the top phone package for a rather good price under the terms of my redundancy package.

If I want to view a movie or a certain programme I acquire it.

Plus you would not believe how little I pay for my Samsung Galaxy S3 due to an error on the discounting side.:D

I am on the Essential collection in all but name, with discount pay £95 a month. SKY would charge £113 a month for same services.

Couldn't agree more Hugh , when a users price returns to full they can always try and thrash a deal out or look at changing that's the beauty of competition.

I pay £32 a month after taking a huge trim in my package due to cost and not willing to pay £25 a month for sky sports.!:)

Plenty of free cricket streams.:D

Even streamed the freddie flintoff boxing fest.!

So £4.80 more expensive than I pay Virgin for similar, except I can record on my 2nd box and my calls package is anytime. Reading through the other posts it looks like this is some sort of discounted rate - do you know what it will be when the discount is up?

I could of got a 2nd Sky+HD box if i wanted it and still can, i just dont want to pay for the box but also i dont need a 2nd PVR.

Ive priced it up at around £108-£110 a month but ill ring up Sky nearer the deal end time and try and sort out some kind of deal.

Yes got sports and movies. Sky World = Sky Entertainment Extra, Sky Sports, Sky Movies and HD Pack. The deal im on is for TV only so its £53.12 a month with Sky World, HD Pack, ESPN and Multiroom.

Sky World with HD should be £65.75 on its on. That is not including ESPN or Multiroom. See below which is taken from Novembers bill

HD Pack Discounted = £5.13 CR
Sky+ Subscription = FREE
Extra Subscription = £10.25
Entertainment Extra with Sports and Movies HD = £65.75
Viewing Subscription Discounted = 27.75 CR
ESPN = £10.00

I'd like to know how they worked the price increases out. Before I moved to Sky I had:

I got the increase notification and my increase was going to be £4.34, yet Grim, in my opinion, has got a higher spec package yet his is only going up by £2.84.

The mind boggles!

Must be nice to be able to absorb all of the increases Virgin have had. Since April my subs would have gone up over £10 per month (over £13 if i'd still had SS & SM) had I not left to go to Sky :(

Ahhh...Looking at it I pay £115.15 for VIP collection and phone line, last month I had £8 odd of call charges as well. Can't wait to pay another £4, maybe I will just get my employer to pay my wages direct to Virgin :D

Just got latest bill and indeed our package has dropped by £5.40 to the £62.40 quoted by the adviser, obviously has partial months charges etc.

I've unbroken service since Nynex days (late 90's) and I used to be on some kind of Loyalty Discount but it doesn't show anymore in e-billing;

I think I might have had an email saying it will rise by £4 but must have deleted it by accident.
I'm a bit cheesed at the extra £7 per month if I wanted Sky Sports in HD when I already subscribe to this premium service. Do you think they will actually get over themselves when 4k TV comes in and include HD as standard in your package? Because until my dying day on principle alone I will never pay extra for HD channels even though I would quite like to have them. Still at least I've got the main 5 network channels in HD.

Phoned up today after receiving my letter.

I have XL TV with 2 x 1TB TiVos, 100mb broadband, and basic M phone (weekend calls) now paying £57.15 a month (I also paid the £120 line rental so that monthly fee includes taking off the line rental).

They normally charge £20 for a self install kit on VHD box and a free fault fix would have been a replacement SD box which he probably didn't want?

Currently paying £59.50 but it will be going up to £64.50 in February. I've looked to move to sky but the multi room prices virgin offer alway beat sky hands down. A similar package on sky with HD and 3 boxes on multi room makes sky's best deal £89 and they don't seem to want to budge on the £10.50 per box multi room price.
