Where's the goddam match choice again conspicuous by its absence, it's outrageous subscribers paying premium prices to get this lousy service.:mad::mad:

I just wanted to chip in and say that I noticed that as well on Sat, that it wasn't there for ages. I really wanted to watch Chelsea lose!! (Sorry Chelsea fans).

What is realling getting on my nerves, is that damn number appearing on the bottom left corner of the tv during live football.

I called VM last night and they it was Sky's fault, and they said they were trying to sort the problem out, how long does it take.

I emailed VM and Sky this morning this morning to complain bitterly, we are paying to watch a game of football and we have these numbers appear.

Sky have replied and its going to there programme department for a reply - VM as typical, l am still waiting for a reply.

it appears on both VM and sky Arthur think MM said above sky sports dog on sky though and it there to catch people on either VM or sky streaming the games online and agree yes it annoying

Steve, I appreciate your comments, but my annoyance is the fact that l have spoken with Sky, last night and emailed them today, I spoke with VM last night and sent an email to the CEO this morning.

And would you believe it that l have had more info from Sky, and NOTHING from VM on this matter.

I understand from a member on here that Sky want VM to pay for the logo to be moved, what a load of tosh.

Sky have said it can be moved and are dealing with it, BUT we should all boycott VM Sports Channels unless VM directors pull there fingers out of there backside and look after there customers and get this sorted.

IF, it is to be moved it could be moved up to where the logo appears or the score line. I am good money to weatch live football, not a number.

Well as VM get their channel feed from Sky, then there is not much choice if Sky are runing those numbers on screen.

Why oh why should we Boycott the sports channels do to some numbers that sometimes appear on screen, and are outwith VMs control?

Sky have said that they are trying to get numbers moved, BUT according to VM they have said that Sky want paying to move the numbers . Sky have said that VM are trying to put the blame on them.

I spoke with both companies last night. The only replies l have had are from Sky, NOT from VM.

As members have said on here, they are paying a lot of money to watch Sky Sports so why can't they move the numbers.

SKY own the Sports channel, not Virgin, so how can Virgin do anything about the number on the screen?

I had a call from VM at 6pm tonight and they explained to us what the problem was and they are talking with Sky over this problem, and yes l do know its down to Sky.

Surely these two companies can get together and sort the problem out. It does not need a brain surgeon to move it from one corner to the other.

I dont know that it would be entirely down to Sky. Yes, the numbers are displayed because Sky want people broadcasting their feeds on the interweb stopped, but to do that each number has to be unique to a subscriber. Sky provide the channels, but they don't run the platform. The software which displays the number is on your box, which is what would need changing.

So it's probably VM who need to move the damned thing to somewhere less obtrusive, not Sky. And VM being VM, they will take their sweet time to do it if its a box software change.

Spot on mate its the virgin box software that's generating those subscriber specific numbers( undoubtedly at Sky's request) but its Virgin that must move the number.

Sorry Nicko, when l spoke with VM, they told me it had nothing to do with them, and it was up to Sky to move it.
They said that they were in talks with Sky, but sadly we know what and how long these talks go on for. With VM you could be looking at a long time.

if VM directors read these forums, a little word from a customer - pull your finger out as my time with VM is now looking very slim.

How do Sky know your viewing card number, I'm sure Virgin aren't giving them to sky, and it wouldn't be any use anyway because the Virgin system is a closed system, Sky couldn't do anything on it without Virgin.

More likely that Virgin have got to comply with a Sky request or face repercussions from Sky.

I'll say with a fair degree of certantity it won't be sky telling them where to put that number. Sky put it in a totally different and discrete place so I hardly think they will make VM put it where they do.

Press record, play recording, no more number. On TiVo you can still mess around with menus, so its just the same as being on the channel itself.

That shows you that it's the box that's generates the number not Sky.
