You missed out the important bit at the beginning...

clicking on your link at the top takes me to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US. If you do an nslookup for mozilla.org it comes back with a dutch site which is down by the looks of it.

Re: www.mozilla.org cant access

No problem at all with firefox sites

..Check your DNS (try a new one if need be), check your gateway/proxy settings (use hijackthis if need be to check the registry entries for them) and check via another clean browser.. Also check via an online web proxy.

Re: www.mozilla.org cant access

Sounds then possibly like a local routing issue

Try http://www.4proxy.de as a proxy (it's slow as hell and might take a good 30 seconds for it to come in but it will tell you if it's a local routing issue, btw..local could mean anywhere from your router to the UBR)

Proxy works fine for firefox websites. I think like you have said it could or must be a local routing issue.

The beginning part of the traceroute. Y'know the bit that says what address you're actually trying to trace to. Which I see you've now edited into your post retrospectively.

It's between the UBR and core according to his tracert. There's a core node somewhere around Preston and it's forever acting funny... Though a problem of this scale I'd have expected would be spotted sooner.

Have you tried accessing mozilla.org through any other devices on your network (e.g. a mobile phone, tablet, etc.) or a VPN? Unlikely to matter but worth knowing.

Re: www.mozilla.org cant access

I would of thought someone who looks after the UBR's would of fixed the problem if any.

qasdfdsaq 01-10-2012 00:34

Re: www.mozilla.org cant access

That would assume there is a problem at the UBR and they know about it.
