Game of Thrones

Just noticed 'Game of Thrones comes to Sky1' added to the home screen menu after Help & Settings. Selecting it takes you straight to the option of setting a series link etc.

Cheers

Carl, give it a rest with the 'I must have the last word attitude'. When a thread's locked by the Mods you have to have to carry it on and try and have the the last word by PM, and then you try and carry it on in another thread. Get a life.

You Sir are from this moment on IGNORED

Cheers

Mrs G thinks she may give it a go - we were thinking about the last time we watched something on Sky 1 and it was that long ago we're worried that the Tivo won't be able to find it's way there as it's never visited that channel before!! So well over 12 months, probably longer.

She's lovely in SD too, however I've only got 32 inches!

All joking aside, was this any good? My TiVo had too much on the other night so I'm waiting for it to pick up the repeat, but I've so far seen a couple of first episodes of Atlantic shows when Sky put a teaser on Sky 1 and have been underwhelmed. This, however, is perhaps the first "true" Atlantic show coming our way.

Personally, I think it is excellent.

My favourite two at the moment are Boardwalk Empire and The Newsroom.

I guess I'll be getting the box-set at some point. Love this guy's work.

Yes, the newsroom is the first thing on Atlantic I've really wanted to see. Loved the west wing and liked studio 60.

What a great acting and the backdrops used. I just can't believe its not a UK produced drama as they have used mainly actors from our shores. I have watched series one and two and can't wait for the next series to hit the screens March 31st 2013. :erm:

That should read 'Makes absolutely no difference to me'

And exactly what difference does it make to you then?

Why should there be an advert for a series I have no interest in as an option on the home screen? Are the suggestions at the top of the screen not enough?

Perhaps because someone else might have an interest in it? :)

And why is this such a problem? Does it adversely affect your use of the Tivo at all?

No. It's a small menu item added to the very bottom which you can safely and easily ignore.

VM may well have some problems but this is certainly not one of them :)

Re: Game of Thrones

Personally I’d have liked for them to use this feature a lot more since TiVo launched. It would have been very useful for the last-minute deals for the NFL coverage, for example.
