Depends who's pc or from where they picked up those screen shots from. They could be standard screen shots of the web :)

I use both of those programs for legitimate purposes ;)

I get my raspberry PI distro's via utorrent for instance

It's incredibly difficult to steal copyright so I too am sure that is not what is being hinted at too. Infringement maybe :)

Whats wrong with having those programs? They are both perfectly legal tools. Its just that, like _any_ tool, they can be used for illegal purposes as well as legal ones.

Even a screwdriver can be used for illegal purposes.

pirate bay is blocked....

there have been reports from VM customers saying they received a letter threatening legal action if they persisted to download illegal content because they used a P2P protocol

i reckon that these screenshots are internal given that that the XP version has a virgin media wallpaper and security software installed, secureCRT

secureCRT is too corporate for the average joe

having utorrent on your pc doesn't mean you are using the pirate bay though and even if you where using the pirate bay doesn't automatically mean you where up to dodgy downloads,also just because it is blocked doesn't mean it is illegal to access the site by other means

I have not seen any of those so called letters and heard nothing of VM threatening customers with legal action for downloading over P2P.

Tell you what VM i downloaded the latest Raspberry PI Debian distro today via Utorrent so go ahead and sue me for using bittorrent to do it..

The last person who tried threatening letters and court proceedings in relation to the use of P2P ended up bankrupt.

no ISP would want its customers to use P2P but instead purchase premium content from legit resellers - thats a no brainer - this simply breaks their ethos

The only reason isps like VM don't like p2p is because it borks the network if too many use it
