Mine is estimated for November to December 2012.

Bad news though, upgrade put back from oct 2012 to march 2013.

The double speed checker says for the ones that area is all ready done, to check back September for the 120 mb, so guessing will be that time together with the 12mb upload this time
I know because i rang direct the 100mb team to give me the upload from 5mb to 10mb (my area is done) ... but they told me upload will be give same time when the 120mb will take place

If they do it soon it will be great because it is a lot sooner than I expected. I have a funny feeling it is going to be egg on their face though because I wasn't expecting it till after xmas and advertising it this early is going to make them look silly.

I've just checked and i got a green box saying that i'll be getting upgraded to 120 as well but when i check using the online checker it says the update is taking a little longer.

When I enter my Postcode it just says that speed doubling has been completed in this area, so I presume that the 120/12 will take effect from Sept onwards, it has already been announced that Oldham will be the first town in the NW to get 120/12.
Currently I am getting 103/9.3 Mb/s thanks to the Engineer :tu: replacing some parts in the CAB which fixed my upload speed.

Mine just got pushed back from the end of this month to the end of this year. So basically it's a waste of time checking.

We are currently on the 100meg service but rarely get higher than 86meg so when the 120meg is up and running in our area i reckon i will get about 90meg.

Mine says that the network upgrade is completed for this area and that they will be in touch about the 120/12 boost, but no mention of when. :dozey:

Anyone know if it will go 5>12 upload or will we get 10 first?

I'm not waiting nearly a year to get an upload increase. Infinity goes live in my area soon so I'll be switching.

at least for my area 15, in London, it shows upgrade done with the new double speed checker.... so i rang 150 to get the upload speed as well
They told me it will go from 5 up to 12mb with one go after September when the download 120mb will be ready (at least for my location) because they need to add more card slots for the upload
Don't know if they lie
But again they may give different answer to each individual case
Best if you have phone with VM give them a call before you do anything?

Same here, Me too! Infinity or Sky broadband got the faster upload. Virgin Media is rubbish!

the last I heard the 120 rollout wont start until the upstream uplifts are done, so with that being done, you should go from 100/5 to 100/10 to 120/12

But this isnt written and could change from one hour to the next with VM

What the point of wait for all upload to be completed first before we see 12 meg upload on the 120 meg? Before we use to have 30/3 and 50/5 and 100/10 and suddenly VM revert it back to 30/2, 60/3 and 100/5 is rather bit silly! I think virgin media is worse than BT roll out! As BT FTTC is catching up more quickly now.

because they can easily add and bond a bucket load of downstream channels to accomodate the downstream uplifts. Upstream bandwidth is far more finite and if they doubled everyone before they have added all the extra capacity we need for it then the network would be unusable
