from my point of view this gov has lost the plot -i have been a life long Tory voter but this lot haven't got a clue so i want them out before they do any more damage ,the question is who to put into power in their place ?

Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
I think Ed is speaking too soon..Because no one wants his government either not even traditional Labour supporters.;)
|
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
I like his optimism but his party are crap and still haven't laid out their policies in a number of areas.
|
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
Well if the next Government is spend spend Labour you can bet Milibore will not be the Prime Minister that's for sure

Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
I was hoping we got Government which threw away its retoric thinking for once sat down thrashed out policies which improved the situation. This government with watered kicking scream kid in pram called clegg. Who gets a spanked bottom if he not quiet or good little baby. It seemed the situation seemed to trigger all the evils of policies from the mad backbenchers.
Now why could we not had historic government say look this is major issue I unique and aint going to take one party views see this loosly whats happening clegg just nothing towing not his party line. The whole westminster to thrash out how to sort the issue out. We needed that second world war conflict unity to get us through this and still do. If labour wins I hope they do it. Together we will be stronger. Nope the created the air it was someone elses fault it should never been about blame it clouded there judgement. With this atitude it armed it up got everybody fighting each other within public. As the government used a divide and conquor approach used it vent hate and hurt. On whether Ed gets more than one term he wont he will get at least 2 terms. time heals the mind. By that time hopefully David Davis is concervative leader:D So long he allowed to follow his own beliefs not party retoric please those mad hatters behind him. Which think this what cameron doing whether these is really beliefs if so its very calious thinking. |
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'

If I were Milliband I'd be rather more concerned about my own prospects for political longevity than the next election. The unions bought their man in preparation for an outbreak of militancy and if they carry on with it, Miliband will not be able to keep dodging the issues. Listening to him saying a whole lot of nothing is embarrassing.

David Cameron has presided over some of the worst financial situations in recent history. Situations bad enough they have caused people to RIOT several times. Situations which the Labour party should have been able to turn to their advantage. Something they've been singularly unable to do. You say time heals. It does. How long do we have to wait though? They've had two years and don't seem to have made any headway. |
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
What's making me laugh is Labour are not saying any new policies, so why will people vote for a no policy party?
|
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
Who voted no?
|
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
And just who will be the next Prime Minister? Galloway?

We dont have a lot of Gold left Brown sorted that out  There is not a lot of money in the pensions as Brown grabbed and spent that. We don't have much in the way of industries the Unions pay demands and strikes saw to that. We have far left call centres these days to employ people as the company's sent them off shore to save on over hyped wages. So what they hell do we have left for Labour to spend should the idiots get voted back in. |
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
Yes, I am wrong. Labour's handling of money is the main reason I no longer support or vote for them. I am now a Tory convert.

Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
Tony Blair seriously thought the fuel protests in 2000 would end his premiership. They didn't. Labour was in power not for 3 years but for 13 (unlucky for us).
Don't get swept along with Westminster tittle-tattle. The one and only issue that will decide the 2015 election is the state of the economy, not mid-term party politicking, no matter how distasteful it may be. |

they just vote depending on the state of the economy? |
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'

It's the economy, stupid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It's_the_economy,_stupid Imo the only way The Tories won't be in next time is if Ed goes, doubt the Libs will be sharing power with them next time though, they'll be lucky to have any MP's at all. |

Margaret Thatcher won three elections, remember. Despite the endless BBC-sponsored anti-Tory barrage by the likes of Ben Elton throughout the 1980s, enough people generally felt that she was taking the country in the right direction to keep voting her back in. In 2015, if people feel that things are picking up and they are getting better off, Dave stands a very good chance of winning an outright majority and bringing us a 100% Tory government. Let's not forget that Ed Millipede's comments were first of all given to a sycophantic hack from a friendly lefty newspaper, and secondly what else was he supposed to say? He can't exactly go round predicting that he isn't going to win in 2015, can he? Deep down he's not so stupid as to think the election will be about anything other than the economy. But his interview this weekend is not really about winning the 2015 election. It's about applying constant pressure on the Coalition in the hope of forcing it to break up earlier than 2015. Ed's only real chance of winning the next election lies in forcing that election to take place a lot sooner, while the economy is still in intensive care. |
Re: Ed Miliband: 'this will be a one-term government'
And likely the tories will give some sweetners just before the election...that always helps

I am hoping that the people of the UK have sense and vote this government out, the trouble is, who do you vote in?
As for the Lib Dems, I would be very suprised if the Lib Dems even have any more then a few MPs left, they have done deals with the devil and paid the price for it Labour need to turn more to the left and need to distance themselfs from Blair mistakes What they need to do is keep haveing stong attacks at the Troies/Lib Dems policies and mistakes ---------- Post added at 10:07 ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 ---------- Quote:

I don't think Ed will win, but if the economy is doing badly by 2015, then it will be a uphill battle to gwet enough MP's (more than now) to solely run the government, unless Scotland and Wales break off the UK, and remember, he is with a worse economic crisis than Maggie had to deal with, the Worse since the Great Depression |
