Re: Record From a Virgin Box ?
At least 1 make/model of DVD/HDD recorder can, namely Wharfedale DVDRHD400. It appears to be a design bug(ie undocumented feature).

Re: Record From a Virgin Box ?
Only BBC and ITV do not content protect the material on the Catch-up portion of VOD. FIVE goes further by only allowing viewing via HDMI on most of it's content.

Re: Record From a Virgin Box ?
This is how it works on the Wharfedale, so it's something to try if it doesn't work normally.
You start recording in One Touch Recording mode in 30 min blocks(eg 30min, 60min, 90min etc as required), then bring up the HDD menu or something that fills the screen(eg play DVD). Then start the programme on the V+ that you wish to record. Return to the menu on the V+. It will end up as a recorded programme on the HDD, you can then transfer to DVD. |
