tivo problem help
right, bbc is working fine but i cant watch any other channels or on demand content as it keeps breaking up and saying no picture or giving a error 3017 my cables are fine, any ideas on how to fix this annoying problem?

3017 relates to a signal problem, as already stated by Spiderplant you will need to ring faults.

i tried to connect the box where my std box is and its the same yet my std works fine up and down stairs, so its not the cabling and i have rebooted the box many times, it has got some thing to do with the tivo box it self, the box is new as i had vm installed two days ago.

that they cant do anything at there end and that a enginer would come out on wednesday, only problem is that i like watching tv upstairs when i go to bed, i cant watch it now,bso i need some ideas for a temp fix.

It's a long shot, but try taking the smartcard out then putting it back in again.

has anyone else lost the video window on TIVO when accessing the menu`s.when we got up this morning it only appears when viewing the EPG,when you go into my shows or any other menu all the sound and picture(vid window) go off?

vm are crazy, they replaced the faulty tivo box with another faulty tivo box, lol, i had to ring them back and the enginer came back and replaced the box with a good working one

I recorded a series recently, (TCM channel) watched some episodes only to find later that the same episodes wouldn't play properly. They played in fast forward mode with a lot of break up. Other episodes remain OK and this issue isn't affecting any other recordings of anything else, recent or a long time ago.
1. Why should previously good recordings suddenly start playing up? 2. Why is this only affecting a particular series? ie High Chaparal I did try deleting unwanted recordings to free up space. I have a 1TB box with 84% of space used. This made no difference. Yes, I have rebooted.;) |
