He wrote some Great songs and he covered some Great songs excellently, unfortunately i think he`ll end up the same way as Freddie Mercury. Another one going before their time due to their own way of life.

Yes he was a great singer/songwriter, and I do hope he lives a long and happy life buy as far as making a comeback it will be difficult. Just like him and Phil Collins, Whitney Huston and many others there time seems to have passed. Unlike in the past, the musical audience these days seem to be focused on the X-Factor type singer and new talent.

Yes that rubbish as most of them nowadays can't sing, can't write or can't play any musical instruments at all and yet they are hyped up like some superstar next thing.

Let's just hope he can get better!

Beats any X-factor winner any day!

Very true Hugh but George always had that wonderful voice at his disposal when he decided to go single.

It was true about Wham. Ditching Pepsi and Shirlie and then Andrew Ridgley was the best career move George Michael ever made.

Hugh 24-11-2011 12:35

Re: George Michael in hospital

But he wrote the songs for Wham, but was still regarded as "pretty boy"....

When he's well enough to get out of his Hospital bed and is able to walk unaided
I bet he has no trouble finding the toilets...

Sorry George only joking..

Still one of the best singers out there.

My favourite song of his "Waiting For That Day"

George Michael has cancelled his remaining UK tour dates following doctors' advice, his publicist has announced.

The 48-year-old singer, who fell sick earlier this week, is being treated for a "severe" form of pneumonia.

"George Michael is ill with pneumonia and any other speculation regarding his illness is unfounded and untrue," the star's spokeswoman stated.

From my own experience l would suspect him to be in hospital for several more weeks because this illness can easily kill a person.
