So are Virgin giving SKY Premium HD free if you take TiVo and SKY Sports or has Davefevs over at Digital Spy been ill advised?

virgin media might be dropping sky premium HD charge as a incentive for people to sign up for tivo hopefully

That's the point, this was obviously either a mistake on the operators behalf or a deal offered to that customer specifically. That, or the poster on DS is making up stories.

If this turns out to be anything other than one of those, I will eat my own hat and upload the video to YouTube.

And that's only on one box. I pay extra to have it on the second box

It's already been mentioned on another thread that the charge per box is being changed to per account I think. Not sure when though.

from 1st of October it goes per account can't wait makes vip 50 package even better value :)

Yes whenever it happens its great news as it will be nice to go into another room and watch sport or movies in sparkling HD.

I am the same Davefevs who posted on DigitalSpy. As stated that was what I was told, and for info here's the extract from the VM Chat:

Emma: How does that sound?
You: according to your website, I also have to pay £7 for HD?
Emma: No, if you take TiVo then the Sky Premium HD pack is free for you.
Emma: You don't need to pay additional £7 a month with TiVo.
Emma: Let's carry on with your order; I'll be here to help if you have any questions.
You: So by taking Tivo and Sky Sports Pack, I'd get Sky Sports in HD...yes?
Emma: Yes, you will be able to watch Sky sports channels in HD.

I've got a screenshot too.

Looking at other posters it looks like I may have been ill advised, or is something changing on 1st Oct, bearing in mind my install is 30th Sept?

If someone who works for VM, cares to look me up on their records, they might find whether I'll get free HD or not. £7 was a real deal breaker in moving from Sky!!

We have the VIP50 package.
We have a V+ box and a standard none HD STB.
I was told i had to pay for Premium HD channels if i wanted to do the following.

Keep the V+ box and replace the standard box with TiVo.

I'm on the VIP50 package with a TiVo and V+HD and pay nothing different.
