very annoyed with virgin
have had virgin/NTL for 7 years, not once have I called to ''cancel'' to get a better deal, phoned up today as sky are offering me a good deal on all 3 services. I simply asked if thye could have a look at the account see what they could do - NOTHING!!!
just give them my 30 days notice. Is this normal for virgin not even TRY? |

Presumably you selected the "thinking of leaving us" option when you called as that gets you through to the team that can offer discounts. But there has to be a point which it is not economic for companies to offer price cuts. Most bundles are allready at low levels.

If that really is for the same level of service, I'm not surprised they didn't want to match it.
Perhaps you should post details of what you get from VM and what Sky are offering in case you've overlooked something? |

All entertaiments packs al HD channels in line with your subs,line rental and upto 20Mb internet. TV packs £24 HD Pack £10.25 Line rental plus upto 20Mb internet £19. VM would also get you ESPN but sky would give you more HD and few more channels and Sky Atlantic. The VM price is £55.90(I choose 10Mb as the 30Mb puts it over £60) but you would probably hit atleast 9Mb, Sky could be anywhere from 6Mb to 19Mb |

VIRGINMEDIA offer a fantastic service and offers great value. In my case unfortunately it didn't work out. But I'm only 1 person and virgin have millions of happy customers. |

Why does it seem like all the new posters in July have a similar pattern/behaviour?
1. Pro-Sky and will slate Virgin Media in any way possible 2. Often shout in their original posts/replies 3. Bad reputation consisting of 3 red slots [or insert a better name here] 4. Can sometimes been seen on the same thread. If it is the same person, or a group of friends participating in such activities, isn't there a better thing you could be doing this Summer? A lot of us on here don't care about your enthusiasm for Sky, everyone is entitled to their own preference of phone, broadband and TV provider. |
