It might be worth asking if any of your friends or family can get Office through their work with the Microsft Home Use Program. The company I work for (think very large US industrial and financial company) offers a copy for £9.95.

Some NHS trusts sign up to this scheme I believe

Any company which uses Microsoft's Software Assurance licence scheme can offer the Home Use Programme. The price for Office is unbeatable. Over time through my current and previous employers I've bought the 2003, 2007 and 2010 versions.

There are restrictions in the usage licence though. Essentially you can only use the software for as long as you work for the company that offered you the Home Use Programme.

They are good prices for a download copy, much more reasonable and affordable.

You can't buy windows (as the now deleted link is selling) to download from anyone but Microsoft.. They and a lot of other domains with identical products are selling pirated material from China.

Or until the company don't renew software assurance.

That said who is actually going to uninstall it.

shows how easy to fool, that all looked like original and legit, you can buy discs from other sellers so easy to see you would think a download was ok.

Yes you can - Software4Students for example does it. They're a Microsoft Authorized Education Reseller. So do Phoenix software, also a Microsoft authorized reseller. Viglen do too.

Two of the cheapest people ive bought from have been Eclipse Computers and also Ebuyer.

My Advice is to be careful with 2010 it doesnt half eat resources compared to 2007.
