Britain's Got Talent

I think that Britney lookalike could make a lot of money if she put her mind to it.

I know a lot of men and even women who would gladly pay her money to let them call her Britney in and around the upstairs landing.

re: Britain's Got Talent

Have to disagree with you. She was really bad and should have never been brought back and think there was other people who were better than her that should have been given a second chance

Gary L 31-05-2011 22:16

re: Britain's Got Talent

True. I don't think her singing will make her any money ;) :)

I have never watched anyfull programme of this show before but I'm having to make an exception this week as someone I know of and have met is through to the final; the organist Jean Martyn.

She is a fabulous lady with a boat-load of actual talent and I hope she wins. May just have to vote for her too :)

Glad she did turn it down as she seems to be a nice girl and the money would have been tempting

She is a really jolly person and looks like to be a real nice person as well but I dont think she will win but then hey who knows

My maternal grandfather was a locally-renowned Campanologist; though that's the big church bells, not hand-bells. It's actually a fascinating subject.

Boaz 02-06-2011 17:11

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Thought last nights was a bit dull. The only one who stood out for me was the comedian Les.

.....and who was that woman...who kept apologising to the judges at the end of her act....as nice as she was....just didn't get what her act was about.

Sasha222 02-06-2011 20:19

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Your guess is as good as mine and tonight's show is worse than last night's show. The three judges who put some of the acts through should be fired.

Gary L 02-06-2011 22:16

Re: Britain's Got Talent

I'd say that Jessica is going to be telling a few home truths about the show in the media tomorrow.

Sasha222 02-06-2011 23:11

Re: Britain's Got Talent

It wouldn't surprise me. I didn't see her on the auditions so was she any good then as she was really bad tonight

Gary L 02-06-2011 23:23

Re: Britain's Got Talent

She didn't choose the song she did tonight. she was uncomfortable dancing and singing. she was going to tell everyone something and they cut her off.

On Britains Got More Talent, he didn't let her speak at all like he does with everyone else. she wasn't happy.

then you got the thing about that Justin Bieber lookalike supposed to be signed up with Simons record company since 2 years ago. and he's been put on the show.

besides all that. they put a lot of pointless acts through to the final this year. and I personally think that the show should exclude any form of singing.

Sasha222 03-06-2011 00:39

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Oh dont normally watch the second programme but have it taped and must watch it. I heard about the two year thing that the young guy was signed up to Syco but on Sky news they showed on one of the papers that Simon Cowell has called in the police. Sky news will be discussing the papers at the moment so they will probably bring this up if you want to see what they have to say

Another night with some rubbish acts. I'm glad I record it all so I can fast forward all the bits which are rubbish and the adverts. Thank god for modern technology. :D

Ben B 04-06-2011 12:28

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Last nights semi final was good. That Pip & Puppy would have got through if they had been put in on a different semi final night. I don't like how they have mixed up all the acts for each semi final because a lot of the acts last night were really good compared to other nights where a lot were rubbish. What they should do is do semi finals by act type like have a dancers semi final, a singers semi final, a miscellaneous semi final etc. then it just makes it a bit better because with the current set up you get a lot of the same type of acts able to go to the final.

Dave9946 04-06-2011 13:34

Re: Britain's Got Talent

What I'd like to see in the future is look on that single act as that performance alone as it's entertainment value and not on the how far can this person go with the act as a carear viewpoint as to how the acts are judged on. It just seems to me barring a few exceptions they are not judging the acts on entertainment\talent value but more on a who can we sign or has a better chance of a carear value. Which to me makes this a profesional act show and not as open to the all comers as it trying to be portrayed.

Gary L 04-06-2011 15:25

Re: Britain's Got Talent

You have to wonder why a lot of these acts going through the semis were put through in the first place.
one minute it's about "what the queen will want to see" then it's "who the audience are chanting for" then it's "who will make them the most money and the girls will like him"

a singer will win again. ban singers on the show. start a new show called X-Factor or something.

Boaz 04-06-2011 16:48

Re: Britain's Got Talent

I agree about ousting singers out of BGT, always thought that since it began. Obviously they would need to create a new X Factor kids show for 3-14 year olds.

Who do you think will win the final?

Gary L 04-06-2011 17:09

Re: Britain's Got Talent

New Bounce will win. depends if people vote for this years heartbreaker James Hobley.

Totally agree with what you say. Why they shoved most of the good acts in last night is totally beyond me and they should have been spread out during the other nights and then we could have had a decent final.

New Bounce were really bad. No wonder I couldn't remember them. :(

That was a real bad semi final. Then only one I have to say I enjoyed really was the guy at the start. He was funny and made me laugh. Ronan is ok but hope a singer wont win

Gary L 04-06-2011 22:02

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Yes. the kiddy didn't win!
3 singers in the top 3. they really should ban the singing entrants.

They should have song ABC or Rocking Robin :)

Sasha222 04-06-2011 22:07

Re: Britain's Got Talent

This is crazy. He wasn't even a good singer either. What a week of a rubbish. They crammed into one night really good acts that could have been spread out and we could have had a better final as well.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Maybe it was a protest vote against the alleged Cowell fixing attempt?

Sasha222 04-06-2011 22:14

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Ya I guessed that would happen but I thought the protest vote would have put through any act rather than a singer AGAIN!

Ben B 04-06-2011 22:29

Re: Britain's Got Talent

The percentage difference between the Ronan and Jai was 2.5%, glad he won over Ronan and New Bounce. Should open X Factor to younger people though

Boaz 06-06-2011 14:52

Re: Britain's Got Talent

I was surprised by the winner. I liked his song but wouldn't buy his records....

Would you like to see the same judges back next year?

Saaf_laandon_mo 06-06-2011 15:17

Re: Britain's Got Talent

I'm so glad Ronan didn't win. What I found strange was that after previous performances he had cried once he knew he was through, and come the final there were hardly any tears when he came second. I think the crying in earlier rounds was a gimmick to get people voting for him. I bet as soon as he was backstage after the final he was ranting and raving at everyone, lol!

I think they done a horrible job in the contestants they put through and if they come back next year I wont be watching. I think they killed of this years show. The talent Friday night was good and they should have been spread out over the week and then had a chance in the final and it would have been a really better final.

Boaz 07-06-2011 17:17

Re: Britain's Got Talent

That's true Sasha. So many good acts at the last semi final. Bad presenting there.

I saw Jai on Daybreak on Monday. Probably won't see him again until the next BGT.

Sasha222 07-06-2011 17:37

Re: Britain's Got Talent

I cant even remember what he looks like he I think was so dull. I think myself that there was no other talent really to vote over the 12yrs old boy so he was the next best thing that they put through. I really think there was a backlash for Ronan after the report went out that he was signed to Syco records and didn't want him to win

Boaz 08-06-2011 16:41

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Yeah, somebody always has to spoil it for others. I bet we will see more of Ronan than Jai.

More like Simon 'happened to mention' to someone he might ask Cheryl to do it i.e. drop a name so it'll get in the papers and generate publicity

BGT

Sorry if in wrong thread but just watched BGT and surely the voting was rigged tonight? A 9yr old boy magician who was outstanding,a boy comic in a wheelchair and a choir consisting of children of military servicemen and all didn't go through! Instead a average mimic and a dreadful crap (sorry rap) act went through! A crazy night!

It's variety which is so lacking on tv these days.

Different people like different things - it’s not my cup of tea, but lots of people watch it/vote, so it makes them happy.

Agree with you. I watch it because I love seeing variety acts. Not all the acts appeal to me but that's what variety is all about, something for everyone.
