ESPN America gone off-air?
 

Can anyone else tune to ESPN America on channel 531? It was working fine here but a few minutes ago it stopped working on both our TiVo and V+ box.

Don't know whether this is significant but on Sky the SD channel says No sat signal being received but ESPNA HD is working fine.

The delay is usually a second at the most.

At least I can listen in to the Phillies @ Braves on 5Live Sports Extra while I wait for the problem to be fixed.

Apparently Universal is down as well.

I can't get ESPN HD but I can get ESPN fine. No ESPNAmerica either. Frustrating...

They're still having a few problems. ESPN America is currently showing ESPN's dead-air loop instead of their own one.

It is a transponder problem , not VM fault.

531 is OK here in CM20.

I never said it was VM's fault. The post you quoted was referring to a hiccup at ESPN's end. ;)

I wish I'd got the chance to play baseball when I was at school. All we got to play was crappy rounders at juniors and 1 game of softball at seniors (although I did hit a home run).

Looks like we've been switched to the Middle East feed while they sort the problem. The SportsCenter ad just had the time listed in GMT and KSA (Saudi time). Nice work-around. :)

Isn't it just.

I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that ESPN's HD pictures are generally better than Sky Sports HD pictures, but don't really understand why it should be. Even their Premier League football pictures often seem to look better than Sky's.

ESPNA HD looks fantastic, NBA (which I really can't stand) and college football pictures look great.

The other good thing with ESPNA HD is that 90% of the content is actually in HD as well.
