I've been confused if to leave VM and go to Sky cos Im not happy with losing channels and see Sky customers getting always more, but I decided to stay with VM cos of the Tivo. So waited for the 500 to arrive and finally today called them.
I actually pay £.72 thanks to retention cos I wanted to leave already few months ago so they give me a discount. Everything was ok, so £.49.99 for the box (fine), £.40 for the installation (fine) and £.3 a month extra (fine) until she says, it will be £.90 a month! Why??? Because you lose the discount retention has given you!!!
How cheeky is that?! So just for a box I'll have to pay almost £.20 more a month!? I already give VM around £.200 between mobiles and XL package!
This is it for me! It's a joke! Improve your TV package first!

I would suggest you get onto retentions again and explain your situation and see if they can do you a better deal. Unless you are certain you want to go to Sky then just cancel, but I'm sure they will try and offer you something to stay.

Well said, But in regards to this some people when they were going for the 1TB box they were getting told that they would lose their discounts.
Then when they called to clarify that they would lose their discount they were told by some and then they would not.

So I would give them a call?

Ok thank you to those who replied seriously. Just called retentions and they actually gonna install Tivo on the 18th. Im not gonna lose the discount and also had the 40 quid installation taken off the bill! Sorted!

When i called retentions the other day they wouldn't discount the installation and my deal is a retention deal too, how you manage that ;) Although i am waiting for a email regarding a special offer.
