Dog Thrown Off Roof

I never saw anything like this in my life happened to an animal. It really hurt me a lot. Im not a huge fan of animals but i have a heart.

Here is the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0A9H0u_O34

But i don't recommend watching it if you love animals. I don't think its made any news websites yet.

There is a Facebook group set up about this

Couldn't look at that video as it would upset me to much. Hope whoever done it are caught. It really makes me so :mad::mad: when people are so cruel to animals.

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

I hope they find these people. Don't know how it is possible to even think about doing something like this. Wonder what was going on in their head.

By the way, it was done in Egypt so there is a low chance of them being caught or anything being done about it.

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

They obviously have problem doing it and must have thought it was really funny. I really hope they get whats coming to them. Not on facebook so couldn't see what was posted about it

How someone can do that is pure evil.

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

When they do this to a defenless dog what would they do to a human being.

I am not saying it is right, but do we know why the dog was thrown off the roof?

(No sound on my work PC so not sure if it was 'explained' in the video)

I hope you have all reported it to YouTube

I would (possibly) if I could watch the video. But you have to register as it's marked 18+, and I'm not registering to watch a dog being thrown off a roof...

They were laughing, and after the dog was thrown off they were laughing even more, so im guessing its for fun, plus they were not speaking english.

This is not the first that has appeared on the web. Another guy did the same thing but off a bridge and received punishment. That video is disgusting and should have been sent to authorities rather than uploaded for everyone to see.

We are both animal lovers and own two large dogs, I wish I hadn't watched that video. The other half is 24 weeks pregnant and i would usually ask her to take a look at anything i found remotely interesting. I'll not be telling her about this one. It would break her heart.

I guess that's one way to put a dog down, and at a fraction of the cost a vet charges.

I can't watch the video as I'm in work, probably too sickening to watch anyway.

Cheers for that Maggy, I wasn't expecting anything other from you doll. I don't consider it a laughing matter, really. I haven't seen the vid either.

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

unfortunately for me iv just watched it 7 times in a row. not because im sick, but i was looking for any signs of it being a fake, I couldnt see that it had been tampered with, and it looked like it was definitely real, it was bad enough that the guy was pulling th dog around by its tail but throwing it off a building that high is disgusting

Zee 27-04-2011 14:50

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

I couldn't sleep for a little bit last night i was thinking about this. well its defo not fake for sure, guess it will be hard to track these people down as they were in Egypt.

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

They caught the last guy that threw one off a bridge so I dont see why they cant catch this guy.

Flagged the Video as Im sure everyone who has watched has. Still Nothing and Flagging video's is the only way to have them removed since Youtube wont let me contact them.

In the other video you can see the guys face, in the new video you cant see his face so may be a bit harder.

It didn't die, you could hear it wimpering at the end of the vid. I really wonder if we are evolving as a race at all some times.

apparently it died afterwards due to the blood lost from all its broken teeth

I couldn't watch the video, even reading this is upsetting enough, I can't abide cruelty to animals. Hope they caught the culprits and gave them the punishment befitting the crime. I also trust the poor animal was humanly put out of his misery. :(

Terrible, I can't believe people can be so evil, how would they like to be dragged around and then thrown of a roof. People like this don't deserve to live they aren't humans they are just arrr it makes me angry, sorry for the rant.

Reading that I thought it would have been for something like that -- biting someone.

I guess the same happens in this country when a dog mauls someone, it gets 'destroyed'. I guess this is how they 'destroy' dogs in these backwater, medevil countries.

Still does not make it right though.

And we're supposed to be a nation of dog lovers! :-(

Laughable punishment though

"The 42-year-old was banned from keeping animals for five years, given a 12-month community order with supervision, 200 hours of unpaid work, told to pay compensation of £1,483 and £85 court costs."

its worth mentioning whilst I dont condone what they did, censoring videos is not the right course of action as its simply pretending things like this dont happen, whilst the video is online it shows people what kind of cruelty exists.

This is the exact same reason I think what the IWF is doing with child porn isnt constructive either.

theres a difference between a dog being attacked and child pornography, please dont compare the two.

it was bad enough the dog was dragged around by its tail without it being thrown off the roof, the sick minded Egyptian (fill in blank)

2 seperate issues however treated in same wrong way, which is to censor and turn blind eye to it.

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

Sadly animal cruelty is common both here and overseas. When I was working in rural Tunisia the sight of donkeys tethered by their front legs was common. I came across one specimen whose front legs had obviously been tied together for years and the ropes had been in place for so long that they'd started to cut into the donkey's flesh. I couldn't bear the sight of this so naively cut the rope thinking that the donkey would at least be able to walk properly but immediately realised that it'd been tied up for so long that it couldn't even walk properly anymore. The locals thought I was mad.... :)

Re: Dog Thrown Off Roof

Youtube has taken off this video, and l am pleased about that, for several reasons, cruelty to animals crimes should be a serious crime, BUT it isn't.

The RSPCA do what they can to bring these ********* to justice, but the courts are soft on them, if you that a court will ban them for life for caring for an animal, there is nothin law that stops them buying another animal.

I believe that ALL pet shops and breeders should have photos of these people that commit these crimes, However, l do know that Battersea Dogs Home, do home checks and visits to check that they will crae for the animal.
