Only problem is the CBA has to be agreed by August 1st, if not the game will be played in Tampa. I have waited 25 years to see the BEARS live since 1986 when they last came, I have a terrible feeling I will be waiting longer :(

There is NFL game pass https://gamepass.nfl.com/nflgp/secure/registerform $249.00 I think for the season. At the moment you can only buy off season pass for $59.99.
Hope this helps.

The Draft was very interesting last night not least for the reaches made by The Titans for Locker at 8, he fell away badly in his senior year and by the Vikings for Ponder at 12. Those guys are not top 12 picks IMO.
Still I am happy as a decent OL Carimi fell to the Bears as 29.

I'm sure last season the NFL did a package were you could just watch your selected teams games and it was cheaper.

Sky Sports viewers will be able to see every touchdown in every game when the 2011 NFL season kicks off on the weekend of September 8-11.

Hosted by Kevin Cadle and Neil Reynolds, Sky's coverage begins with Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers hosting the New Orleans Saints in the Thursday night season-opener at Lambeau Field. The first Sunday double-header features the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants at the Washington Redskins in a game given extra poignancy on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

The exciting news for fans of all teams is that, following the successful introduction of NFL Network's Red Zone channel on Sky's red button at the end of last season, this experiment will continue throughout the first six weeks of the new season.

It means that as well as watching the biggest games of the day in their entirety fans can also choose to watch the fast-paced action on Red Zone, hosted by Scott Hanson. There, the focus switches from game to game depending on where the action is at its hottest, meaning you can see all the key plays in every game.

Personally I think this is a great move. Although Red Zone got some bad reactions from UK fans last season this was mainly because Sky replaced one of the live games with Red Zone and inserted commercial breaks. With it being available on the red button it should be quite good as it can be shown uninterrupted and commercial-free, as it should be.

How would that work? Would we have our own division? The winner going to the play-offs? How could we sustain more than one American Football team? Also since there isn't any grass roots for the sport they would need American college players no?

It would work the same as the existing Wembley game. A regular season NFL game would be played over here instead of over there.

I cannot see a London franchise happening. NFL fans in the UK have their own teams for one reason or another.

I have been a Bears fan since the first time I saw the late great Walter Payton 29 years ago. There will never be another like him.

What a drive though.

All that possession and only a safety and a touch down. That is just not good enough for the G men. There have been a few to many unforced errors in the game on both sides for my liking.
It should be an interesting second half.
I have to ask do we really need Madonna at the Super Bowl ?

Lew 06-02-2012 03:54

Re: NFL season 2011/2012

I though Madonna was quite good, actually.

I'm glad the game is closer at halftime than it initially promised to be. I like a nice close game that's decided at the last second.

Eli Manning produced yet another ice-cool performance in the fourth quarter as the New York Giants came from behind to beat the New England Patriots 21-17.

The Giants' quarterback, who destroyed New England in the Super Bowl four years ago, repeated the trick to set up Ahmad Bradshaw's six-yard run.

There were still 57 seconds for Tom Brady to respond, though, but the Patriots quarterback fell just short.

As in Super Bowl XLII, Manning picked up the Most Valuable Player award.
Entertaining match with the result that l wanted.:D

Good game. The Catch II

Still stand by prediction, if Gronk was fit Pats would have won. No way does a fit Gronk lose out on a deep ball to a linebacker.

Re: NFL season 2011/2012

First time I watched a NFL game, only watch the first half because I give in to tiredness afterwards, and it's pretty good. Not quite as slow as I imagined and each play seems fused with tactual consequences.
